Tweze I am a nice guy but it was also a case of keeping the guys working and making them happy. I have some HEAVY big furniture in my home office. I want them to like us and give us the friendly customer treatment, not the pissed off worker that just wants to be outta there.

If they are mexican construction workers, just don't offer them any beer or alcohol even if it is just a congratulatory sip. That will kick off the party, and then you won't see them for two weeks. That's what happened when my nephew was so happy the crew working on his house was a week ahead of schedule. He gave them each a cigar and a shot of really smooth whiskey to thank them. After the cigar was gone they disappeared for two weeks.

And yes, that is racial profession profiling.

The guys are gone. Now I "get" to hook up all the electronics. Three TVs surround system, the computer and router etc.

Well after dinking the entire shop for Christmas pay we were informed today that we will also be docked for new years as well, wanna bet. We all got together and and decided to open on tue. I am planning to work on Beth's MB and when I am done with that I am going to clean a few shotguns. I will not however do any work on anybody else's car

Carpet looks good. Only one little buggered up spot on one piece of furniture in a not obvious place. We should be able to match the color pretty easy. I have the Wi-fi back on!!!! And we did get the one TV with no surround system hooked up. Next on to my office and hook up the computer and entertainment system. I am pooped.

I just heard a phrase that is unusual. Mrs Carrera said "ok I will pull my car in the garage so we can make the bed." You know you are out of space when putting the bedding in you car is a good idea. The only clean place to store the bedding was in her car. The bed is made so we can sleep tonight!

We did two bedrooms, the home office, the living room and all the closets. The formal dining room and hall are wood, the kitchen is tile and the two bathrooms in the house and the laundry room are tile. We went with high quality pad and carpet. Is was 1 grand more money than I paid for my brand new 1974 914 2.0 back in 1974. We have needed carpet for a while. The old carpet was what the builder put down 18 years ago.

We've booked a room at the casino. A bunch of friends have done the same. Sharyn has to work until 2pm NYE, checking in when she knocks off, and the party begins poolside, then migrating to the deck of one of the bistros with about a 1000 others.

Breakfast included and a late checkout. Anyone want to join us?
