They eventually just quit inviting me to the meetings. I was told...

It's not what you say, or how you say it, but you make everyone feel stupid.

that is exactly what i saw at the meeting. everyone looked like they crapped their shorts.... it was like i cut through all the BS and exposed the idiocy of what was going on, but also verbalized how and why it was BS. thus, all those that bought into it were fkd.

One has to hope that it was heard by those not a part of the problem.

apparently, those with the specific agenda have been given their own committee. we are back to square one with the committee i am involved with. i am still pissed about how i was treated. one more meeting like that and things are gonna get interesting.

Morning Y'all
Well that was an interesting interview, the service manager was selling the dealership. I asked him to bring me up to speed on the changes since I worked there twenty years ago and he did, then just kept trying to sell the place to me.
We finally got down to brass taxes and he made me a rather attractive offer but I just don't know if I can go back to work on Cadillac.
Did I mention I detest GM

Yep, one or two cars there eh! Good spotting Jeff. It was funny a few months ago google must have updated their photos of the area, because before then you could only see blurry trees and couldn't get down to that resolution to see the cars. A few years ago the local council demanded that he inventory the cars, so I spent a couple of weeks, doing up a listing by make, model, year, vin etc. At that listing there were 534 cars, mostly VW, Beetles and Kombis, and later model Golfs. The council nearly died from shock. He was told to get rid of them and had until the end of that year. Well after much paperwork they allowed him to slowly reduce the cars over a couple of years, so each time he sold one parted it out, or other wise took it off the property he told them which one it was on the list, he failed to tell them that he was procuring more, but he has had the car crusher come out twice for a week at a time and crush over 100 cars each time, and that has appeased the council for now.

The cars are his livelihood, he buys and sells VW parts and repairs VWs.

Pusha is under the carport at the house and Miss Daisy is stored in the big shed furthest from the house, up on blocks and covered over inside the dry shed. So fingers crossed that the fires don't go in that direction.

Man I thought that the military got to work early!! My hubby has been gone for 30 minutes or so, and would have been at work by 6.40, but he has nothing on the time you get to work!

Good morning folks.

It looks like it Windows Update time. A little yellow shield is on all the computers. We have them all set to tell us, but NOT to automatically update. Windows just loves to restart the computer no matter how important the project you are working on if you leave it in automatic mode. I would love to be able to restart the computer at random for every person at Microsoft that thought their update was more important than ANYTHING the customer might be doing. Just do a random restart when they are 90% done with a big project so they loose it all.

oh, boy, that would be fun. can i have a remote button for this function?

we had a meeting last year that lasted all day. all day long, the person presenting had to click the 'do not shutdown' button that kept popping up, because windows had done its update. totally annoying. of course, no one was smart enough to just take a five minute break and let the machine restart. but see my previous rant about my workplace.

ah, i see. i always play fair and my honesty is what freaks them out: i am not afraid of pointing at the elephant in the room and making them all see it.

its been awhile since i've seen pink elephants.

i was the only one in the meeting willing to point out that the biggest safety risk to our patients is that we've had about 80% turnover with our nursing staff in the last year and, thus, the vast majority of our nurses have less than a year experience (not less than a year with our company, less than a year period). i bet the entire hospital could hear the air leaving that room.
