Alternator bearing froze up on the Landy
Not a tough job to replace and the parts were surprisingly cheap, but there's a two week delay on 'em......ordered a new belt as well........The old one look 'OK', but they're only $12 and that seems like cheap peace of mind.

How's everyone doing this fine crappy morning? I've got a full day of work ahead of me.....fortunately, most of it is on the road, so I can light up a cigar......to bad I can't drink

That is a good vacation. when you come back exhausted.

Azzy did you make it to the north rim of the Grand Canyon? It is quite different than the south rim.

Morning Glen.

Tell me about it! I really missed the boat, the comment was made last month. Although I was walkabout when the opportunity arose.

Still, it was too late to make any comment about anybody needing their pipes cleaned.

Morning Jeff, Jim, Joe, Glen,

Saw Vegas, didn't like it much, very "Surfers-Kings Cross", but still interesting.

Saw Death Valley, really interesting, looks like Lake Eyre.

Saw Monument Valley, really would have loved to stay overnight and stay at the Hotel called "The View" which is right in the valley and would have superb evening views of the valley. next time. "Native" tours were a huge cost for nothing spectacular just access to the valley, since we didn't have a 4X4 and a hire car which was a no off road thing, but the amount of Mustangs (go figure) and low slung cars we saw attempting the valley roads was amazing, also saw a few with mustangs with no front spoilers too... doh!

Saw Grand Canoyon, spent 5 nights at the Grand Canyon area, superb. Very scary, wouldn't have liked to go there with children, too many cliffs for me!!

Did a helo ride over the canyon, absolutely a must, great fun, and a canyon ride on a raft for the day, also great fun.

Time to go drop off the Midgets lunch, not back on school routine yet apparently.

As a tourist destination, Las Vegas doesn't interest me in the least. The Grand Canyon is spectacular, and one of these days I'll view it from the North Rim. Utah has a lot of amazing geology. I want to spend a lot more time there.

Yea, North rim is cool.

I went to Vegas in the 60s as a kid. It sucked. I have never been back except a night time hotel room stay in old downtown area away from the strip. I have no desire to visit Vegas.

Yes, Vegas is a good airport to start the rest of the trip around Nevada, Utah Arizona etc, but one must visit at least once, even if its only to watch the idiots gambling there money away, with smiles on their faces, that I just don't understand, would rather spend it on something else, like the car!!!!

The helicopter ride was just great fun, how would that be for a job, flying peoples around the Grand Canyon, our pilot Daniel came from Florida, he came up once and took a flight around the Canyon, and thought, what better way to spend my flying hours, got a job and went home and moved to the Canyon Village.

The Papillon operation is one of the best I have seen, everything was very slick, every staff member was very professional, all helos were absolutely spick and span, whole tarmac area was spotless, well laid out, signposted, walkways clear, whole new building and carpark area, looks like someone spent a lot of money setting it all up, all helos looked fairly new, livery on them was all uniform etc. You felt confident that they all knew what they were doing, and that you were in good hands flying around with them. Although it wasn't cheap, it was worth it.

Yeah, those buggies have given me a couple of scares. I don't know, but I wonder if the feelings were mutual.

Me thinks the answer would be a definite yes!

I was pretty careful to only blat where I could see well ahead around the corners.

Hilarious. And yes, you should have said something because that would have made me laugh.

I am in Montana right now. Just beautiful!

Evening Y'all.
I had a fun phonecall from the vet, my dad is out of town and I had to make the decision to have his dog put down.
There is a reason people use me as an emergency contact but I hate having to make decisions like this. I think I am going to stop stepping up to the plate.
