Good morning guys. Headed up to the mountain. Looking forward to riding. Should be a good spring skiing day. Temps in the 60s. And nope, no bikini. I didn't bring it. Maybe next weekend.
Maybe I can find a snowboarding partner. I am always looking for more people to snowboard with me. It's really hard to find women to snowboard with. Especially ones my age. Thanks for all the advice about my sister. She took the "no" pretty well. And Joe and David, thanks for the offer to keep me warm but I don't think it's going to be that cold today. Max, I don't think it would be something big. He would have stayed to tell you if it was something important. Or kept trying to call you. Medical info can't be left on a voicemail. HIPPA. And congrats on the pregnancy. If you need any advice...

If Max is pregnant, I think he's doing it wrong.

You should probably start applying cocoa butter twice daily until your appointment... You don't want any stretch marks

Cocoa butter. Maybe that's what I should get Mrs. Noah this Mothers Day.

Took my wife's mom out for lunch. She likes this little place that serves the northern Chinese version of dim sum. Mmmmmm.
![]() When's the baby shower Max? ![]() I'm spending the rest of the day trying to fix (or replace) a tub/shower valve. It's extra fun since the parts are obsolete. The place is only 7 years old. Grrrrrrr.

I think I'm going to do some drive-by gardening on my parents' house as I know they'll be out for a couple hours. They have a landscaped front yard, but their curbside mailbox (which is a bit larger than those big blue ones on sidewalks) has a planter on top which isn't planted with anything currently. So I thought maybe I could take some cuttings of succulents from my front yard and try to grow them on top of their mailbox. They don't need much water/maintenance, the mailbox is out by the curb so you actually have to walk out there with a hose to water it, and that spot gets a TON of sun, so it shouldn't be too difficult to keep that stuff growing out there.

No bikinis yet but a lot of shirtless dudes. I am not complaining.
Blue skies, awesome powder... Happy. They have a couple of blind skiers. Pretty awesome. And I rode up the chair lift with a paraplegic who skis. Pretty motivating.

At least that is well behaved white frozen water. It is up in the mountains where it belongs. As long as it does not come visit me (or Rick) it is good s***

Went for a drive in the big car, bought some lovely spring and summer hanging baskets from one of the local Amish vendors, aslo stopped by an Amish Furniture auction, damn those guys don't get much for their stuff, and it is so beautifully made, and solid wood. Note to self, to go back to next years auction or go visit their shops and order a few things before we go home in just over two years. I want to order a really really really big hat and coat rack, something that has about 20 hooks, most of the ones you can buy only fit around 4 hats, and then that's it. We have so many hats and coats and jackets etc that I want something really sturdy and big. Will have to design one, then go get some quotes to make it.

of course now we have hanging baskets will need to take a trip to the hardware store to get somehooks to screw into the front verandah, as the pissy little nails they had out there won't hold anything.

I spoke too soon... A girl in a green bra. First one of the day so I have to give it to her but eh... She's got confidence, I will say that.

Beth and I ran some errands and we stopped by I-Hop for some lunch, it was us and the kids. Well we were getting ready to leave, and looking at the cash in my wallet for the tip, and my bills were either too much or not enough, Beth checked her wallet at her cash. We like to leave the tip in cash for the server so we know they get it and they can dodge the tax man if they want etc, and always just swipe the card at the register.
There was a couple of old ladies sitting next to us and one very quietly leaned over to me and said she would be happy to pay our bill, since it looked like we were having problems. I explained what we were doing and thanked her for her offer and it was a very nice gesture but we didn't need it. The lady could see us through the window loading the kids into the Mercedes, and she looked like she felt bad about thinking we were broke. I thought it was so nice of this total stranger to offer help to a family with small kids.
