Not a fan of spiders but at least we only have two here that can mess you up, the Black Widow, and the brown recluse.

what are the things that make the huge ball of web that I seen round our parts, hanging in the trees, in soMD? The web ball is about 6" across in some places

well I know that maybe that's what it is, but the balls of web are huge and very thick, are they poisonous? Now I am from the land of spiders that can kill you dead in 5 minutes, so I am very wary of other continents "spiders", and creepy crawlies, at home I know if I can pick it up and throw it back outside, but here,......... not so much, so everything gets sprayed until it is doing freestyle in the fly spray!

No will have to get one and post it . Been out in the garden put in a new maple out the front, the other thing that was in there was dead, I don't think the former tenants watered the "lawn" or did any gardening really other than have the lawn mowed, so we have been weeding and feeding and trimming stuff.

Encouraging it to grow will only add to the work load. I am thinking about fertilizing mine with that concoction I use for killing brush.

lol, Steve is sort of enjoying having a lawn, at home in Oz we only have garden beds , paving, or concrete around the pool, no lawn at all.

I will take a lawn over flower beds and such. I really do enjoy my yard but just not the work.

google gives some examples, appear to be webworms, whatever they are. Weird.
