my interviews went well. the job i really really want seems to have been made for me and my work experience. i so want that job. after interviewing, i know i could love the job and the work. it isn't exactly what i thought, but in a good way, more investigation and research and QC.

When I interviewed for the job I have now, I stopped in the middle of it, after we discussed money and such and simply stated. "Hire me". They did

Morning all.

Back at the mines today

. Had a nice RDO yesterday - got lots done, although an expensive day. The 944 is registered for another year, the fur kids have had their annual check up and shots, and a trip to the dentist for me.

My mouth is a little sore after the dentist did his thing. Three more teeth repaired, only four more to go.

I'm going to let the coffers recover for a couple of months before I get the remaining fixed.

Evening all.. Dad and I just got back from the lake.. We decided that it was entirely too nice to stay at home this evening... Was a bit breezy, but with out waves how do you get the jetski to fly right? Fun stuff, sad I'll be gone this summer and missing this... We can be on the lake in about 30mins from our house, including stopping to get the ski out of storage.

Hey, good news! Last years $53M taxpayer bailout to Ford Aust. was all for moot.

Ford have announced today they are shutting down all manufacturing in Oz by 2016 (not that there's much left anyways).

Ironic. The only major car maker in the USA to NOT get a government bailout is Ford. GM has yet to pay it back.

Not to get too political.... But ford was only able to say no to a bailout because they had made some very large borrowing moves before the blip in anticipation. Ford borrowing up all the money meant that by the time Chevy and dodge needed money all they had to ask was Uncle Sam... Ford ain't as special as some make em out to be...

They were a step ahead and had better PR guys.......honestly, that's what makes the world go round....at least they didn't release a car and forget to install brake pads like some other company.
