That's the good thing about the boat... Shoot over to some remote cove and eliminate tan lines. Only problem is there are a few places you reallly don't want a burn.
I was in the sun Saturday with sunscreen, glasses and a hat on and I'm several shades darker.
I like a decent summer tan but not at the cost of wrinkles or cancer so... Sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen!

Hi y'all.

I was going through the emails from my kitchen contractor this morning and see that they're removed the decorative soffit, reframed the ceiling, and pulled in the gas line for the range. It's pretty exciting to see the old POS kitchen gone and the new kitchen taking shape.

Kitchen renovations are so much fun. I did mine last year. Pretty glad
It's done though.

You're lucky. I wish ours was done. It'll probably be a couple of weeks from being done when we take our next work-cation to SoCal. Leaving this time next month.

Actually, it's pretty much work, work, work when we're out there. Not enough kick back and enjoy time. We just have to be patient.

My old mate Jack had a bit of a moment this arvo.

When I got home from work he came inside from sleeping on his bed, his breathing became very shallow and rapid, he put on his wobbly boots like an old drunk and collapsed infront of me. I thought we were going to lose him there and then.

Sharyn came home as I was soothing him and I carried him to a pillow near the gas heater. We decided that we'd see what came of it in the next hour or so before we called the vet. We put some water near him and after about an hour of laying dead still he decided he needed to drink. After the drink he ate some food and now, a few hours later, he's moving around as if nothing happened.

I appears that he may have been dehydrated and had a little seizure. All a little bit dramatic for the afternoon.

Good morning folks.

We had another thunderstorm roll through last night about 4 AM. Almost an inch of rain. Our drought is now over. Most all the lakes are full or at flood stages. Last summer some of them were 25 or more feet below normal. It is supposed to rain most of the week. I wish we could save that rain up for August.

I hope your old mate Jack the best. My pup hasn't had a seizure since last Monday at the cabin. She is on phenobarbital right now until they figure out her thyroid problem to treat that. Her blood results came back for hypothyroidism which seizures can be a symptom of that. The are now testing her blood to see which treatment to put her on to bring it back to norm.

It's heart breaking when our pups aren't feeling well.

Yep. I can't wait till he turns 18 then I no longer have to play the game. They have a ton of stuff this summer but one member has his shorts in a knot so it is all going to get skipped.
