That is so sweet, Sidney. Right now I haven't eaten anything except a handful of cinnamon toast crunch cereal and a glass of water. And pounding DayQuil, moving on to NyQuil later.

And luckily, Janet, my sister is visiting and the boys are amused with their cousins. Thank goodness for family!

I don't HAVE to. Fluids are more important. Just downed a big glass of juice. I'm good. I get sick about once a year. It is always because I haven't taken care of myself (lack of sleep, eating bad, stressing). I have a really good immune system. In high school, I got an award for not missing one day of high school. Sooooooo, when I do go down, I am a grump about it. I am going to be one of those old Asian ladies that will try to stay in her house even when she is a little loopy, having to get around with a walker, and dragging an oxygen tank. I know it. Too independent for my own good.

Cold Symptom Remedies.

Chicken Broth with garlic powder and cayenne pepper (clears head and gets rid of achey feelng. Will get your voice back in 10 minutes).

French bread toasted in the oven with LOTS of butter and as much garlic powder as you can stand, red pepper, and a slice of mozzarella.

Popcorn with lots of butter, garlic salt, and cayanne pepper. (soothes a sore throat.)

Wash the toast and popcorn down with a carbonated beverage, keeps stomach settled.

And vanilla ice cream (just because it makes you feel better).

Repeat all of the above until well. Garlic Powder is an antiseptic. Powder not bulb, powder form helps the anticeptic qualities get past digestion and into your system. Red Pepper is the highest concentration of vitamin C and helps to change the acidity to reduce the virus' ability to reproduce. There is something in chicken broth that helps the white blood cells concentrate where the virus is, white blood cells are what the achey feeling is. Not sure what the fat in the chicken broth and butter do, but trying to go low fat with these greatly reduces their effectiveness.a

Oh yeah, when you start to feel like eating, ham and pineapple pizza with lots of red pepper on it, is excellent.

When the pepper tastes too hot, and the garlic too bitter, you are well.
