I'm the worst stijner lately, I think I'm going through a phase.

I woke up to the most ignorant rants on fb this morning. Jesus, good thing I don't talk politics with friends.

Off to the pool with the girls today, I hate living in a baths suit all summer until its fall and I can't do it anymore. Then I miss it.

Yeah, I always wondered if Stijn ever woke up.

Good morning, Janet. We all support swimming suit summers.

Morning Livi, long time no see on the thread, how is life?

Glad to see the oil discussion get some lively debate going, I have ventured once or twice at the ultimate oil thread and it has been "enlightening" to say the least, anyone would think it was talking politics or religion, some people get quite upset about oils. But it is very informative.

Hubby has volunteered to clean all three bathrooms this morning so I am a happy wifey!!!!

So better do the right thing and make breakfast.

Penrite HPR30 in the 944.

I used to use mobil 1 but the Penrite gives better pressure (>2bar) and quieter lifters. I'd often see <2bar on Mobil 1 in the middle of summer.

Morning Y'all, nearly bed time for me.

A very sloooooow day today.

See, what' not to like about swimsuits in the summer?

Morning Janet, Azzy, Richard. The air here in DC is so thick, so heavy. It was quite a shock after being in SoCal the past ten days. Our dog, Kiera the attack schnauzer, was happy to be in more familiar surroundings. On the other hand, Lu and I, not so much. Tomorrow morning is going to be a killer. That's when we're going to really feel jet-lagged. Oh well, we made good progress on the house, and just decided to have the bathrooms added to the project that our contractor does for us. He (look_171) will do a much better job than we can do ourselves.

Re: oils, I use Royal Purple in the 964 Garage Queen. Seems logical. Am I wrong?

When I opened up the 911 valve covers and the chain covers to fix the oil leaks it was amazingly clean in there. I have been using SWEPCO 20 - 50 for many years. I may well change to Brad Penn only because I can save the shipping cost by buying it at a local oil supplier.

The earth must have tilted off axis last night.

It is the middle of July in Oklahoma and it is 68 degrees and raining outside. That is March weather, not July. Mind you NO one is complaining except the owners of a local water park and amusement park and maybe the power company.

I figured that, Jim.

The summer goes well so far, thanks. I have started to build a large pond for Koi fish. Its ridiculously hard work and takes for ever. Will probably not be able to fill with water for another couple of months. How is your summer?

My wife would love a koi pond.

Summer has been good so far. We just got back from a 10-day trip where we worked on the house we're going to retire at. It's a multi-year project for us, but the result should be quite pleasant. The house was in need of a lot of work. Work is OK, DC is now hot and humid, but overall, things here are pretty good.

Oooooooooo!!! A koi pond! I would live a Lou pond! Yes! Take pictures and post but take pics of the process too. I would find that fascinating.

At the airport to leave LA. Didn't get to see the ocean but saw Conan O'brien. My first official star sighting so that's exciting. My friend who lives in the little neighborhood where we were eating said there are stops on a star bus tour that stops in front of this ice cream store and restaurant so people can "maybe" get a glimpse of a star. That sounds so absurd to me. It's almost like the star is a specimen... To be watched in captivity. And as the star, it would be so surreal to imagine looking at a whole bus full of strange people oogling at you and taking pictures. I can understand the frustration and angst famous people have against the general public. But at the same time, it the price you pay for being famous. Again, what a strange world we live in.

Thinking I just need to come back for a vacation. Got together with two high school friends. But other people on FB saw I was here and wanted to get together. Love my friends.

And btw, yay!!!! to swimsuit summers. That's a given in AZ. I have about... And I am being totally serious... 20 bikinis. And three one piece bathing suits. And I love them all and love rotating through during the summer. Each of my boys probably have 5 swim trunks each. It's our uniform in the summer.

I will post pics from time to time, Tweeze. So far pretty much just a big hole in the ground.

Celebrity absurdities indeed!
