I'm aware of that.. Just checking to see if you guys could think of anything I wasn't. Want to get it done right while I've got the place and wee bit of cash.

I think your idea is sound.

Too funny.
The guy was pissed as you can imaging but the fact of the matter is he will be able to drive home, just not with his camper behind him.

It currently has a leak around the pan gasket, and from behind the oil pump. It has been 3 years and a few months since I did the Tbelt and water pump.

So I'm thinking I will get the parts and replace the tbelt and rollers, as well as the front oil seals, but not the water pump. Its got *maybe* 15k on it. D can I pick up the Tbelt tools from you when I come through? Any reason I should mess with the waterpump at all?

Pan gasket will be trickier, but is there anything I should do while I'm in there? Obviously make sure everything looks good internally. Maybe add a crank scraper?

And anything else I should do while I've got the lift? Pretty much everything else has been gone over and is fine.
i agree with rick, the waterpump should be good for one more t-belt cycle. i don't have t-belt tools. i do it by hand these days. sounds like you have the rest handled.

a crank scraper would be fun. also, check the oil sump pickup tube. they can fail, so you may as well make sure it is secured properly with no cracks or anything.

We saw a nasty wreck on I81 on the way back, a pickup towing a camper had some kind of failure on the trailer. It started to fishtail in front of us badly and the guy got it back with some very fancy driving then it darted left and snapped back to the right and flipped right off the road. Fortunately it came off the hitch so the truck never went over, but there was camper scattered all over the road.
Most of our drive was through the mountains of W.Va. so lanna had a great time, beth was a little green at times.

good to hear the kids are good.

that accident sounds like some serious pucker. glad you are okay. it is amazing to see what is left of a camper after it leaves the roadway at speed....

i am a lucky guy: my wife LOVES fast drives through mountains in the 951.... she encourages me to go faster and faster and to "pass them, pass them." LOL!

Ya I seem to recall the last time I did it you sent a flywheel lock, a flat 27mm, and a pin wrench.

Great weekend then Rick, glad the midgets are fine, it is a big weight of you two, knowing the kids are happy and settled.

Fun driving is always a good thing.

Got some water to air to water time in today...went fairly well.
The plane has some odd characteristics...because the thrust line is so far above CoG, it noses down a bit.....I didn't keep enough up elevator and it nearly became a submarine on oanding.....servos, receiver and esc are fine but the motor got water logged. ....flushed it with distilled water, blew it out with canned air and packed dessicant packs around it. ...fine now

Glad to hear you had a good time. I am rather jealous. Was supposed to be off for a 3 day weekend and ended up working the entire time (except to stop and hit PARF to respond to the virtual legions that hate me).

Reserve duty got me so far beyond this year and I am really paying for it. I think I need to find another hobby.

Just made coffee...as it will be an all-nighter again. I will have worked over 100 hrs again this week (get paid for 40)...and I am still in a panic because I am so far behind. Good thing for the little breaks for keyboard aggression. I sure wish they would furlough me so I had an excuse to sleep. Really busy tomorrow as my boss and their boss are out so I am King. If it is like normal...I will be so tired that I will walk around with my fly open all day.

Flint, really wish that the jerkoffs who decide that some people should be furloughed to save money, would not expect the rest to work harder to keep everything going.

Thanks Azz. I'm sure they don't expect it...but it has to get done regardless. Good night.

I didn't realise you had to be tired to do that.

Hmm....I wonder at what point you have to be before you pull out your pockets and flop out your old fella and start making elephant trumpeting noises?

I think I'm going to enjoy senility...

Yes, and I wish! Mine is the red SC.
The 991 was on loan from Porsche for a magazine shoot - part of the cruise.
