Put on a twelve inch prop and do some pre-fishing chumming

Actually Rick, I think I am going to move up to a 12 inch prop....dont have to worry about tip stall issues with a boat.
The rudder was just thrown together. ...I have a new one drying right now.

somehow, the pontoons take on a bit of water...drilled a small hole at the end of each and will pick up rubber plugs for them so I can drain it at will

evening all, back from the big smoke.

Well DC anyway.

Hope everyone I know around the NSW coast and other areas where the bushfires are, have got out and are safe.

Good Friday Morning everyone.

Except you Jeff. You get a good evening.

I "get" to go to a wedding this evening. The daughter of a friend is finally getting married. She had her baby last year. She is getting married to the father of the baby so there is that.

It will be nice to see some of their family. I knew them all.

It does not seem possible that the bride is as old as she is. I remember my friend showing me ultrasound pictures of her when she was -3 months old. That seems like just a couple of years ago.

Morning Everyone.... It's FRIDAY! You know what that means. My fiance's crazy aunt was wrong yet again. I think that makes number 3 or 4 times wrong this month.... haha. I am thinking about getting a conspiracy theory they are watching you t-shirt to wear to christmas this year. I can be a bit of an instigator.

Also is today everyone drive 10mph under the speed limit day.

There is an interesting list on Wikipedia about end of the world predictions. There are hundreds of them. Someday the world will be destroyed, but it will be a few billion more years before the sun turns into a red giant and eats the Earth.

Fry it Friday!

not for the gal, but the bug is hot!

Although I always wonder why they need to have the decklid sticking out, really, if the engine doesn't fit, its too big!!

They usually do that to get extra cooling air into the engine compartment.

My bug could not do that!
I could one a tire to spin in rain or ice.

so that's why some of those bugs have that great ugly air intake thing stuck on the side of the car, mmmm, nah don't like it. They need to rethink that, shy not oil coolers up the front?

Probably because Bugs were designed for 25 to 60 HP and there is no easy routing of a front oil cooler and thermostat like a 911. It has been way to many years since I worked on my bug. I bet many have tried to engineer a front oil cooler and it must be difficult to do.

A bug with that much power must be scary. My 73 Super Bug was scary above 75 MPH and I was a invulnerable teenage male when I tried it and the car was brand new. It was astonishing how much better the 914 was at that speed.

A well sorted out beetle was pretty formidable in the gas crunch days when Vegas and Pintos roamed the asphalt jungle.

I still love a beetle. Although in a straight line it is definitely better than on the curves at speed. Went on a Porsche run back home in the beetle, it is pretty souped up, and on the straights it was okay, but keeping up with the P cars in the curves was scary. Of course it was all on the flat!!
