Took Mom to a pancake brunch. Then instead of going for a hike, we came home an napped off the sugar rush like normal overweight Americans.

Morning everyone.

Threw a wheel weight in the p-car so it was in the shop last week, but before it went in I put new motor and tranny mounts in. Took a long drive this weekend to Carlisle. It is so much smoother, shifts easier and got a little quieter in the cabin. Mounts go a long way.

Jeff, those picture look wrong. It is green and I saw water

It is nice to get to work and sit down and relax. I really hope to get the Elky finished tonight. My back said STOP yesterday. Too much bending over a fender for an old guy.

If any of you need a small block intake re-seal I am an expert. My prices start ant $9,000 plus parts. I will get right on it. Right after bigfoot gets here.

Here is a picture of the lift in the pit.

The arms swing out way wider than I would ever need. They come with extensions so I can make them taller but that is also pointless for my needs.

It will lift the Elky to the point the antenna will would poke the ceiling. I don't know if the roof would hit the garage door opener or the antenna hit the ceiling first and I really plan to never find out.

The lift has a mechanical safety lock. It has steps that are at certain spots. I was trying to lower it and the lock pin dropped into place. I was forced to raise it higher to get the pin to release. It was pretty close to the hitting the garage door opener when the safety latch released.

I vote we all go over to Glen's house and stand around while he works on the car offering up sage bits of advice till he can't stand it.

Hey Max, did you register for the DE in June?

I signed up and it looks like everyone is on a wait list. I sure hope I get in. I doubt I will have another chance to drive Laguna. I am only trying for the Saturday event. I gotta hit the road on Sunday.

I would have paid a lot to have someone tell me not to waste my time trying to get the distributor back in without moving the oil pump.

In hindsight I would have paid a LOT to have someone advise me to throw away the rubber pieces from the intake gasket set and use silicone.

I LOVE my garage and the new lift and the AC and the bathroom and the TV and the fridge and tools but I did NOT want to spend that much time fighting with a dang oil leak. My wife thinks the Elky is jealous because I spent so much time fixing the oil leaks on the 911 with a engine rebuild.

OK, y'all suck.

Before you get mad, lemme explain. Actually, lemme summup. Back when you all had this rule to read all the pages. OK, not an issue, I think I can do that. Well guess what, I get to post 100k and you rescind that requirement. Aach. There goes three years of my life. OK, not really that long. I will read them anyway as I am down to December of last year.

One thing about burning through all those posts is you get to know a group a bit. I don't have any selfies, but I have a pic of my daughter last year getting to know her Marlin 30AS with me watching over her shoulder.

OK, our secret.

By the way, my wife and Rick can never be in the same room together. They have the same sense of humor and outlook on people. For example, we were camping and one of our group asked (as I was re-arranging wood on the campfire) "What do you do if he burns himself" and my wife says deadpan "Tell him I told you so".
