Flagstaff would be a blast if I was 30 years younger and single.

I went downtown to a great place called the Beaver street brewery. BURP! I will post more about that in the thread I started about Flagstaff.

Good beer and good food 10 minutes from the hotel room. I pulled into a spot that was PERFECT. On a corner with curbs on two sides and a wide spot since it was on the end.

Downtown area is a pure college town atmosphere and for some reason I feel like an outsider. They had one bar with live music outside, people everywhere and if I was 30 years younger and single I would still be down there having fun.

Since I am an old married geezer I came back to the room so I can go to bed early and get some sleep so I can get up at the crack of dawn and drive to California.

The strange part of that, at my age I prefer to go to bed early and get to Monterey way more than chasing skirts and staying up late. BTDT, don't wanna do it again.

Dude, don't temp us.

My wife will retire in a year or maybe 18 months. After that we plan to travel outside the USA. We can't get much further outside of of Oklahoma City than Alice Springs Australia.

I have another friend that has a free room in the Florida Keys. That is about as far from us as we can get in the USA.

Pete has offered a his services as tour guide in the far NE. Now we need a friend in far SW California and far NW Washington.

Oh yea, my record continues. It RAINED several times today in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Here us a screen capture when I was just outside of Albuquerque, NM.

Many rain storms. Only one small frikkng HAIL storm. Insert string of favorite an disliked curse words, I used them all.
