Yikes. Had a nightmare last night. Someone (not me) had crashed the 930. All 4 corners were smushed. Then I woke up. Phew.

Houston. The Eagle has landed. I am in my room in Monterey. The car is unloaded be very dirty. Off to find the sports bar at this HUGE place. There are 26 buildings with rooms.

I am parked just a few feet from the room door. I have a patio door. I wonder if I can get the car inside. There is almost enough room if is move the king size bed over a little.

You're a machine, Glen. Knocking out a lot of miles each day. I doubt I could pull that off.

Did Kai make it match one of his hot wheels?

Off to find my way back up to the main hotel lobby. It is 1/4 mile walk uphill. They have the sports bar with a 70 inch HD screen and food. I am hungry. I hope I can find my back after a sample of the many brews on tap.

No wife around and no driving and many brewskys and it is my freaking vacation. Watch out liver.

It's the launch spec bodywork. The race versions look a little better and work better for sure. The chassis and running gear is probably the test mule.

Had it been the 21 Heures du Mans, Porsche would have been sitting pretty.

Whew. I went looking for the car wash area. It is on the other end of the world as far from my room as possible. Walked back and drove over to get the car washed. That is done.

Off to find when registration opens up. The first couple of hours is stupid crazy busy, stand in line time. I will wait for that to settle down and get registered.

I watched it for a while but the commercials are constant. They had it on at the sports bar as well but the sound was off. I finally just said to heck with it and came back to my room and watched the live feed on the web. I got up early to get the car washed and the race was 30 minutes to go. I watched that part and watched Porsche loose both classes.

I am going into town to explore. In a couple of hours the madhouse at registration will die down and I will get registered. I just can't see standing in a line for a hour for the honor of standing in other long lines. They REALLY need to figure out a better way. It works with 200 or 400 folks but big parades need a better system.

All the national folks registered yesterday with no lines at all.

For what they charge and the salary Vu is paid we deserve a better system.

Afternoon Y'all,
Welp the son got married yesterday and today we got the place all cleaned up, they had beautiful weather for an outdoor wedding, and it went off without a hitch )other then the intended one) with the exception of one drunk who wanted to fight. I took care of him and all was well.
My son did good, he found him a real keeper, I am just glad he didn't let her get away

I like the sports car racing that is still production street cars with a roll cage slapped in them. Otherwise, might as well be Formula 1.

Afternoon folks.

Hey Max did you get your Porsche game from the Porsche display booth?

I am ready to relax and take a quick nap to rest up for the welcome party in a few hours. That is always a good time with great food. For the price it should be.
