TGIF!

Hey Jeff, I gotta ask, how do you speak, drink or spit wearing that high vis outfit? And I guess you have to plan ahead of a trip to the wizzer.

Jim, you are weird. Yer vacation is spent renovating a house!

I prefer to sit in my 911 for 13 hours one day and then do it for 11 hours the next day. Then go for day long drives, and do the long trip home for 4,693 miles in a week.

Now that there is fun. Of course screaming around Laguna Seca in between was a blast. I may have been the slowest guy in the white run group but I sure had the most fun, and all I damaged was the tires and brake pads but those are designed to be easily replaced.

Have fun out there.

Speaking and drinking is not a problem. The material is thin enough to see through. Got to pop your head out to eat (not too difficult as there are two zips), and a trip to the loo means nude'n up

Yeah, I definitely get it that I'm weird.

I get to leave the heat & humidity here in DC for a more temperate SoCal climate. I trade off working on the house now for having not to renovate it while living in it after retirement. I'll try to fit in some time driving my 964 in the mountains or canyons. And if time and weather conditions permit, I'll rent a sailboat so my wife, doggie and I can get in a little time bobbing around in the ocean. Whooohooo! Bring on work-cation!

Well maybe not weird, just strange.

I would advise you to stay away from Needles, CA. It was 108 when I drove through.

As for climate control, can't say much on the heater, since that's not needed here, but the A/C works really well.

I could care less that it does not go "vroom, vroom".
Thanks. I have seen a couple in the wild and they are sharp looking cars but it is hard to tell what the cabin is like. I don't know how the rear facing seats would go over for anyone over 10 years old.

Or it would be like riding in the Griswald's station wagon. The seats face out the rear window, not the rear seat passengers.

Some of the minivans had club seating which wouldn't be bad.

That said, I think I am one of the few that does not like limos.

My first car was a 1968 Ford Country Squire Station Wagon. The rear seats faced each other. Friend's family had the same car in a different color and the rear seat faced backwards. Understand there was also a version with no seats in the back at all, just storage.

A friend of mine in high school had an old hearse. The back was just flat. We would all pile in and he loved going around a corner and smushing everyone into a pile on one side or the other. It was fun if there were girls with us but not so much when it was just the guys.

The days before seatbelt laws. Heck my old VW bug did not even have seatbelts.

This one year at camp (not band camp) we had 26 kids in a Dodge Maxi-van to go for pizza.

The rehab people had the grill going today. Cheeseburger on the grill with chips and watermelon. I think it was $3.00 and they use the money to buy stuff for the residents. The nice lady down the hall bought lunch today and I didn't see exactly what they charged.

I am all for safety, but soon enough they will legislate anything that might be dangerous to someone or something out of existence. We will all be rising in Google car trains and all roads will be double yellow.

We used to ride in the back of the cattle truck back in summer camp. One year, a few of us road in the back, sitting on top of all the luggage for two hours driving from Reno to Susanville. Fun times.

Drafting Semi's
Finding out the bike will go 120
Putting 6 in a Camero and going 100+

Stupid stupid stupid
