Yea, as a guy I have never understood "the silent treatment" bit.

Same here. Don't know what it's supposed to achieve....especially when you have no clue as to what you've supposed to have done (or not done) in the first place.

He you seen World's End.

The World's End (2013) - IMDb

Talk about weird. It has some funny stuff in it. I am glad I did not pay to see it at the theater but it was worthwhile to see it on HBO at home.

Found out the manufacturing at the company I work for is doing 18 hours volunteer based overtime a week. Has been for more than a year. Every Tuesday morning they post a list of machines that require overtime to meet production quotas. They are even doing a weekly drawing from the names of those that work overtime and gifting one of them $500.

My college degree is in Industrial Engineering. Studies show that working overtime on more than an occasional basis causes enough mistakes that the increased cost and losses due to those mistake it actually lowers production. IE the more overtime you work, the more overtime you need.

It's going to be interesting when the new facility is finished. It will have robotic parts inventory management like Harley Davidson and John Deere uses. That is a state of the art facility of the 90's. Today manufacturing is built for zero parts inventory. Today each part is manufactured and delivered to assemble within minutes of being needed. And example is the seats for a BMW. BMW electronicly orders the seats only hours proir to the car's assembly, the Recaro seat manufacturer is 2 miles from the Assembly plant and delivers the seats to the assembly line within minutes of being placed in the car.

Yep. I was really clueless about what caused it once. I just noticed she was not talking much. She never does talk a lot, but it was extra quiet for a while. And when I ask what is wrong all I got was "nothing" so I assumed nothing was wrong.

Yep, odd but got a good laugh out of it mostly. I think you're right though, it wasn't a movie for the big screen.

The punishment of the silent treatment is supposed to be that she is not thinking of or doing things for you.

The correct response is the keep saying, "You're not talking to me." much in the fashion of the "I'm not touching you." sibling game.

I found out once that 'nothing' doesn't mean 'nothing' once when I asked her what she wanted for Christmas.

I just thought she was making it easy for me.....

It didn't go down very well at all. Even when I produced the surprise gift that I had all the time.

I learnt not to do that again real quick.

They really don't make things easy for us. I should have realised that from the beginning.

The last movie I saw on the big screen was "The Matrix Reloaded."

I don't even know what it cost to go to the movies any more.

That's what it cost me to watch Maze Runner in Adelaide the other weekend.

3 for 145 after 30. The commentary team are predicting a score of 242 for the Oz 50 over innings. Not real flash, and unless the Pakies have a major collapse, probably not good enough for a win.

Anyone got any news on jules bianchi? All I get is 'critical but stable'. Spot of bad luck there. Hope he pulls through.

If you have watched the video of the impact is is amazing he is alive at all. I really hope he recovers enough to be "normal" again but I suspect his racing career is over and I am guessing he will be like Michael Schumacher. I hope both recover.

They say he has a diffuse axonal injury, not a good one for recovery prognosis, currently critical but table.

Let's hope he is more like Massa than Schumacher. Massa came back to racing. Bianchi was an up and comer.

That ain't good.

The outcome is frequently coma, with over 90% of patients with severe DAI never regaining consciousness. Those who do wake up often remain significantly impaired.

Well, took a set back in the cat toilet training. Mom set the tray on top of the toilet lid instead of on the toilet bowl with the lid and seat up. It is not very stable when set on top of the lid. Looks like the cat tried to use it there was litter scattered all around the toilet and a big o cat turd on floor in the bathroom away from the toilet. Mom needs training before we can work on the cat.

Also took Camber, my 13yo Golden to the Groomer this morning. The first time she has been. Camber has always kept herself clean and trimmed, she even trimmed her own toe nails. In fact, she was so neat and clean I didn't get her spayed until she started having infection problems a few months ago. Since the operation she has really changed. She stopped trimming her toe nails, and her undercoating started matting, she started having trouble getting up, doesn't get up on her favorite spots on the couch or Mom's bed, her bark got really horse sounding, and she doesn't talk to us any more.
