22 Oct 1914, the 16th Battalion AIF embarked at Port Melbourne. 100 years ago today our ANZACs left Oz for the Gallipoli campaign.

Wow, 100 years.

And as I remember my history that was all Churchill's idea and it got him fired from office. What a tragic waste of life. Of course there was a whole lot of that in WW1.
