If you ask me...and I know you didn't really, but...my very unprofessional opinion is... you are missing two cylinders.

Turn up the boost, Wayne.

Have you checked your timing?

TPS, air filter, mouse nest in exhaust, timing, A/F metering, coil.

Saw a 911 the owner complained was down on power...the entire engine compartment, and intake tubes were stuffed as full as you could get them with dog food kibbles.

The SC is pulling like a freight train again. I don't have a timing light or the fuel pressure gauges. I know,I know, they are on my XMas list.

Anyway, I noticed that cylinder 2 plug that I pulled this am looked unused compared to the others which were normal(light tan,no soot). I had set them on my bench after removal and didn't look at them(duh). Bingo! No fire in #2!

I pulled the injector and put it in a bottle then fired the engine up. It ran for about 30 second and the bottle had barely a dribble in it.

Blew the injector out with air and soaked it in carb cleaner. Reinstalled it and noticed an improvement right away.

Got so thrilled that I got my daughter and we went for a drive in the rain. I put some fresh 94 octane fuel in it and then we jumped on the freeway. By the end of the entrance ramp, I could tell it was back. F-Ya!!

Wifey is happy too because she says I get "*****y" when the car isn't running right.

Vely Nice. A ifin I was you I'd be sendin all my injectors off to be cleaneded and flow matched.

Friend with a 930 same color schema as you car, has had the engine out for some or other minor thing for over 10 years. Several of us Porsche buddies have offered to come over an make a weekend of getting the motor back in, and he refuses. What is up with that?

Yep--I am going to look into getting the injectors pro cleaned.

Not sure on your 930 buddy. I can't stand having projects that are never finished.

Evening Y'all,
Time to get my friday on. The boots are off the feet are propped up and I am done.
Wayne, if you want to send the injectors to me I have the pump/tool for cleaning them. I don't disassemble just thread them into the machine and pressure pump the cleaner through them, works like a champ. It's an old VW tool that fell off of the bench after the mounting bolts fell out and when it hit the floor it bounced and dang if it didn't land in the bed of Peggy

We have the possibility of storms next Wednesday and Thursday. Nothing for a while except the warm weather is a bit cooler. 60s not 80s.

SIL came over with his concrete cutter and we found the leak and bodged a repair. Missus is very happy now that the water can be on permanently.
