Went with the boss today up to the mountains. He has a Polaris RZR 900. We were bombing up 4wd drive roads sliding sideways in every turn and giggling like school girls. We detoured a few times up trails that no jeep could even dream of. Some beautiful scenery in the hills just above town. We did about 80 miles by my count. The road itself was 30 from end to end. Coming back from the gas stop we did 30 miles in 58 minutes. Thats moving damn quick through sharp hair pins and roads with big rocks! Lots of fun!

I told him this was a pricey trip! Now I want one.... Gotta figure out where I'd store the damned thing and the trailer to haul it on!

Yeah, you're not the only one here who wants a RZR....
I've seen some of the smaller variants pop up on CL pretty cheap and you can drive them on the streets here.....I'm just kinda at capacity for vehicles right now.

Ya we tag them out here. But I couldn't street drive it to the trails, just too far.

I'm out of space. We are wanting to put in another parking spot and Rv gate. But I'm not hot on storing that thing outside even covered behind a locked gate. Just afraid of it getting stolen!

There used to be a large motorcycle motocross track, verts, and lots of trails along the river in downtown OKC. Before they turned it into museums and boat docks and stuff like that. We used to knock off night shift at 4am, grab a bunch of beers and go play on those at night in our various 4x4 and other vehicles.

Our favorite game was follow me if you can. It was amazing where all of our pickups, jeeps, blazers, el caminos, pintos, and even crown vics could go, all kinds of skinny motorcycle trails and even crossing the river.

The only one that ever got stuck was the Jeep! It had a tow hitch on the front. I drove around him thru the river and mud, hooked his tow hitch to my blazer's trailer hitch and pulled him out. He often teazed me about my blazer being the off-road Cadillac. The next day he put his jeep up for sale because of the humiliation of being passed and pulled out by a blazer in a big ol mud hole.

There was one narrow trail just barely wide enough for a 4x4 with a sheer 100ft drop off on the passenger side. I loved taking people along that trail and just as their fears really gripped them looking over the edge, Turn and drive/slide/fall down the cliff. They would come unglued!

There were a bunch of straight up 100 ft cliffs to climb. One guy had an old 52 pickup he bought for 25 dollars. We ran a rope thru the cab and took turns riding in the back standing up and holding on to the rope while the driver would get a good run up the cliff and go flying like Dukes of Hazzard over the top.

The Chevy Luv, and El Camino both caught air going up one of the cliff trails but weren't going fast enough to get past the lip and landed high center on the edge of the cliff. Bent the Luv in the middle to where the bed was snug against the cab at the bottom and about a 4 inch gap at the top of the bed. Similar bend in the El Camino, but since it was unibody the hood popped open and then engine stuck out about 2 inches.

After about a year of doing this maybe once or twice a month they put a big sign up NO 4x4's with a $1000 fine if you got caught. Kill Joys. We wondered what the police would say if they caught us out there off roading around the motocross track in a pinto and a crown vic. They obviously weren't 4x4s.

Wish I hadn't forgotten the go pro so you could see the trails. There were a few that were barely wide enough for the rzr ~62" and had a several hundred foot drop on one side. Not going to get a full size 4x4 up those!

Good Hump day morning folks.

We had some customers call and ask why they were getting a busy signal when they called us. I investigated and somehow the phone provider disabled the automatic rollover from line one to two. They did not know why.

The guy on tech support was typing away to make the rollover work again and he sounded much like Dart Vader. A total mouth breather and distracting. I will assume he is having spring allergies. BTDT.

Hopefully now when we are on line one and someone calls it will automatically roll over to ring on line two.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Saucy from 1 Taurus to another. Mine's the 30th, too. I suspect your wife is younger than I will be, though.

I look at it this way, the more birthdays you have the longer you live.

Well,it seems I killed my Sawsall yesterday. I took it apart and it looks like the gears are worn down ALOT. It won't power through a cut anymore.

Parts online are about $30 but I can buy a new one for about $70.

Do you fix or replace? The money tree in the backyard is empty, BTW.
