Yep only call the AF when the ground pounders are pined down to save their ass, or when they are out of ammo and food.

Joe, you are lucky. You know you shouldn't pick on the Air Force guys until after the 10:00 coffee.

Just kidding, it reminded me of the old joke. If I find the whole thing I will post it.

I appreciate all services but tried the AF first then all the way through the Coast Guard.

My dad said one flight into some remote island in the Pacific to bring a resupply was typical. Until the folks stationed there found out he had a big load of beer and booze. Then my dad was the man of the night.

The AF has been rather useless of late. Army operates most of the drones and I don't think a single A-10 has seen combat in a decade.....the Army has been covering their own arses with AH64s

TACP and SOWT are the only AF consistently in combat....PJs just get trained, get out and snag contracts...
The reason Army doesn't have TACP is because it's not a friggin job, it's an additional skill qualifier....
SOWT.....I can't even......seriously.....wtf....

Just FTR, that was all meant good naturedly. ...

Other than the SOWT bit.....they only exist because some jerkoff didn't think a Ranger could operate a phone with a weather app......wtgdf. ..

More shop time than you would think. Electrical is a lot of power point and since it is a refresher I will get even with my sleep.

I fell asleep in a class once and the guys behind me coloured my ears with day-glow pens. A different colour for each ear. Bastards!

Fell asleep in a hang gliding class while in college. It was to get a license to fly one. Learned 1 in 20 people that hang glide die in hang gliding crashes, decided to find something else to do. Did do one flight off a bluff anyway, just to say I did it. Was able to find a thermal and get higher than the bluff I jumped from. So it was more than what they call a sled ride, just gliding down and never gaining any altitude.

holy guano!
Got contacted by a company...seems I've been approved for training with them... I didn't apply. It's not the course I'm shooting for, but it's a good stepping stone.

This cat looks tired

The employ space above the wheel in the fender is called the dead cat hole by car designers. Wonder why.

I can assure you that they are still flying. My client just got a contract to upgrade, make more parts for it. That's all I can say.

I know they're still very comfortably in active inventory. They will be for a while. I know they saw some limited combat early in Iraq, but they're just not the best suited to the mountains of Afg....at least not as well suited as an Apache.

Snagged one of them fancy 'combat' shirts on the fleabay...I was out before they became popular....guess I'll see how it holds up...had to grab some NKA, blood and flag patches as well
