Congrats! Nothing wrong with spending it with family. The meeting, it happens.

We did the tour and drove some fun roads. Lunch was at a German restaurant. Different German restaurant than last time. Fun day.

Sounds like you're having a great time, Glen. I wish I was there.

Jeff, sprinkle a little of that Friday on this part of the globe, OK?

My nephew was supposed to have his kids mow my lawn this summer. Told them they could mow it whenever they wanted as long as it was not more often than once a week and to just name their price. They mowed just my front lawn once this spring. Then haven't ever come back. Don't understand these people. I made a small fortune mowing lawns when I was a teen.

Neighbor must have complained because I got a notice from the city today telling me I have 10 days to mow my yard. It looks shabby but it's not that tall.

Guess I will have to fire up the lawn mower and go push it around the front yard. Because a neighbor complained I think I am going to set the mower as high as it goes and NOT catch the clippings so it will look like it was mowed with a brush hog. It doesn't say anything about edging so will leave the bermuda runners going over the curb and into the driveway too.

Maybe I'll make me one of the wooden cutouts that looks like a fat lady bent over the garden showing her underwear and put it in the flower bed.

Afternoon all.

We got back from the drive today at 3:00 We saw the 60 year of PCA that was cool. Then we rushed back to the hotel to catch the 4:00 PM tour of the property. There were three springs on the garden area grounds. They are all caped now because the water was found to be so high with lithium that it would require a prescription to use it now. So the water had a natural feel good compound and it was a natural laxative so it cleaned you out. No wonder people thought is was a health spa.

Just a totally cool place. The interior dome was the largest unsupported dome on the planet until the Houston Astrodome was built. It is 200 feet across, 600 feet in diameter and 100 feet tall. It is a oh wow moment when you first see it.

This is the view from the gardens. It is over 500 acres of property for the hotel. The stables are a mile down a road on the property and an easy few hundred acres as well.

Evening Y'all,
Richard, last year when I spent all the back to back time on the road for Subi my grass got way out of hand and I got a letter from town. I was very very detailed as to there they could kiss my body and for how long and dared them to do something about it, and informed them that I was too busy traveling for work to make the money I need to pay the taxes they seem to like to increase on me every year.
I also told them they were more than welcome to come cut it for free, but since I wasn't in the state it would be kind of hard for me to do it.
Tey dropped it

Stijn!!

Any of you guys want a label from a bottle of Makers Mark. It is just one of the exact label they stick on each bottle. I have several as I grabbed a small pile. You can stick it on anything and put a wax seal on the top and call it your private blend.

Just PM me your address and I will mail you one no charge. I don't need them.

Rick, I can send you one to put on a bottle of iced tea to crack open and chug!

My lawn will need to be harvested as hay when I get home. With all the sunshine and water from the sprinkler and the fertilizer I was instructed to put down. I need a team of horses to come eat it short.

One house in my old neighborhood was really into antique and wester stuff. The put a nice antique sideboard in their yard with some plants in and around it. With the mock well, ruff hewn wood fences and stuff like that it looked nice.

Not according to the neighbors they complained and the code people called the sideboard a vehicle and said it had to be in a drive. The people poured a slab and did a real good job of hiding it and keeping the rustic look.

Still not good enough, they claimed it looked like an abandon vehicle. So they painted the wagon up real nice and period like and it still looked good, but lost some of the antique charm.

Still not good enough, they cited something about he vehicle/trailer being visible from the street. The house was on a corner lot so anywhere in their yard was visible from the street.

The homeowners gave up and moved the sideboard to their antique store (on one of the main streets in the neighborhood). And filled their flowerbeds with those wooden cutouts of old ladys bent over like they are working in the flower bed and showing their underwear. It was the first time I had seen those cut outs and I thought it was hilarious.

I know a guy that said he started getting letters about weeds in his yard. He ended up ordering in several packages of dandelion seeds and one night took a walk with his dog through the neighborhood. He would throw a handful of seeds into each yard in the neighborhood. Soon everyone had dandelions except him.
