Uh, Sid, hope you're not planning any SoCal road trips for awhile. An I-10 bridge just got washed out this weekend in our freaky storms.

I saw that. Looks like we will be going through San Diego for the near future. It'll be a while before traffic flows normal on i10

I guess Mother Nature watered my lawn in SoCal lately. Sweet!

It was already 80 degrees and humid at 5 AM when I went out with the dog for a walk. Ack.

Trying to get some work done outside yesterday when I could hear the thunder getting closer. It rained ANOTHER 1" yesterday. Since the 5th of July, we've gotten about 10" of rain, and I haven't been out in the yard barefoot yet this Summer....too muddy and squishy.

Good Monday morning everyone.

No frozen pipes around here, just toasty pipes. We just add a touch of warm water to take a shower. The water flowing in is likely close to 80 degrees.

I heard it even rained in San Diego. That likely is like a ice storm for other cities. I bet the drivers there have no skills at all in driving in the rain.

Yep. Late July and early August are the hottest weeks of the year.

Talked to mechanic this morning. Seems they had to let some people go last week. But says they have been replaced and are back on track...should have the motor out of the GTS by the end of the week.

I haven't considered selling the 964 garage queen, even though I rarely have a chance to drive it for the past few years. I sold my73E hotrod before realizing the market for it was going nuts...I really regret that. But, at the time, I didn't envision that we were going to eventually make the move to SoCal where I could enjoy it more in a real nice climate. The 964 may be a bit less nimble, but it's still a blast. I hope to keep it long, long time.

I debate it all the time. I'd if someone came along and offered a nice sum of money I'd sell it.

Yep, those that thought it was too hot to go to work were let go. Said he was down to himself and just one other mechanic last week.

In the last 41 years I have only sold one of my cars, the 914. I do miss it but there was and is no place to keep it without just paying some crazy storage fee. Doing the math alone it was just crazy to try to keep it. That was right at 20 years ago. The pain of selling it has subsided.

I think about buying some cheap Boxster as a toy but it would be parked outside. I really don't need three cars of my own. I can't see selling the El Camino. I might trade the 911 for some modern Porsche like a Cayman GT4 but until someone offers stupid money for my 911 that will not happen.

Glad I have only a two car garage. Otherwise, I would be tempted to have more cars.

When house hunting there was a house with a 4 car garage, kinda glad it was not wheel chair accessible.

I guess my total aversion to car loans keep from owning more cars. It was in the last millennium since I had a car loan. I did finance my 911 and I borrowed the 15K balance.
