Get off my lawn!
|
Good afternoon folks.
I had fun this morning. I got outside at 8:15 and started the edging and mowing process. It was still fairly cool by the time I was done. I was having so much fun I did the 338,000 mile oil and oil filter, lube all the front end fittings and new air filter and breather filter. I got done with that and goofed off the rest of the day.

I dig the Hula Kitty on the dash.
I climbed into the attic today to see why the ceiling fan I replaced last weekend is wobbly. Small thing, but glad I don't have to do this kind of work for a living. Also glad the insulation in the attic is obviously doing its job.

Morning, y'all. Now that I'm at the office, I hope I can rest up after working around the condo all weekend.

Gee, it seems to be Monday again.
The 100 degrees days are supposed to be over. No complaints here.

hey hey
Rainy and Tstorms today. Good day to get a haircut. Going to make the kids go through their clothes to see what fits and donate what doesn't. School starts in a month or so. Still better than being in an office. Sorry..

Drove the 911 to work today, with a fresh can of BG44K in a half tank. Hoping this detonation problem flushes itself out...literally.
I may buy a couple more cans and toss 'em in when it's at a quarter tank

Morning Y'all.
If the 44K is actually helping the predetermination issue you are not driving the car hard enough or driving it in a maner that doesn't allow it to warm up fully

You mean the overall driving of the car prior to reaching the point of pre-det? After installing a late model fender cooler last year the car finally started to run in the proper temp range, not too hot (would normally run 220+ and traffic up to 240) As for driving, the car is at or above 3000rpm (realistically) 60% of the time. I've never had oil mayonnaise nor driven the car for such a short trip the temp never got out of the bottom box on the gauge. FWIW: I sent all of my gathered running information and photos of the plugs to the owner of a well known race shop in CT. He told me the plugs were oil fouled (car has new plugs(2 had what looked like black cotton on them)), all running info was spot on and there was likely a good amount more of that burned oil carbon garbage in there. I hope I'm a pussyfooter...because I don't want to know how expensive anything beyond carbon build-up would become.

Morning all. Hot (for here) and humid today. No rain since I put Rain-X on the windshield a couple weeks ago and looks like no rain until the end of the week. 50% chance then. Maybe I should wash the car again.
Had a slacker weekend. It was my wife's birthday and she wanted to go for supper Friday and do nothing the rest of the weekend so we all just hung out, ate cake and ice cream and played outside a bit.

morning all. temp crown in place. Tomorrow the perm one. Over the weekend my mom fell and broke her shoulder, possible surgery on Tuesday, planning to go to hospital after the crown thing and sit and wait with dad. Getting old sucks.
