I was lucky, my kids never really pushed me too far. My son did take a poke at me when he was 16 and he will never do that again but one time in so many years I consider to be good odds. Both of my kids have seen me deck someone so I think they learned that when I say "or else" they knew I could back it up.
Well now onto more belly up to the chit buffet for all you can eat, the stitching has popped lose from the back window on the boxster, soooooooooo it looks like it is time to but a hard top for it. I am not going to re-re-replace that damn top again

Replaced the whole rear braking system on my daughter's Jetta yesterday (what a pain in the ass and knees). Then, this morning had to replace the garbage disposal under the sink........i'm getting too old for this crap.

My farts always smell like crushed rose petals (so its a natural assumption that my 5hit does also). Missus says NO. I think she's having a lend of me.

Morning all. Retirement training done, back to the W place.

Took Pepper for a play date with my nephew's pit bull, Dixie. They were a bit worried because Dixie is a bit aggressive around other dogs trying to get them to play. Pepper just loves to play and plays with all the other dogs at the groomer's. When she approached with all the play body language stuff, Dixie ran away and cowered. Nephew says he's never seen his pit bull so submissive. Says it was a complete reversal of roles for Dixie.

Evening Y'all
Well today was hike day. We went to a place called White Rock Falls, The hike in was a moderate 1.5 miles, we went out a different way which was extreme, 23% uphill grades through rocks and a 30 foot vertical rock face to scale up. Beth managed to do it all by herself, I am proud of her. I liked that hike.

Another amazing day temperature wise. 5:30 in the afternoon in August it is 74 degrees here. Just amazing. It is in the 40 in parts ok Oklahoma. I sure hope this weather pattern does not come back this winter.

Yep, Pepper is a 65lb wiggly butt puppy. At least she has stopped peeing when she gets excited to see people. Trying to get her to sit and say "Hello" but that puppy energy is almost unstoppable.

I am of the firm belief that air dropping 100,000 retriever puppies into the ME would have roughly the same effect as half a dozen nukes.

With all the chewed up paper and dog toys, my house does look kinda like a bomb went off most of the time.

Good Monday morning. It would be a great hooky day. Super low humidity and 70s. I get to sit in a metal box with no windows. I guess if I take a nap it does not matter what the weather is.

Go back to the fart sack guys, today was a shocker. Better off starting the week tomorrow.

Just finished preliminary prep for a surprise business trip tomorrow, and I'm heading for the fart sack as I'm buggered. Hopefully I'll get to finish the prep in the morning before I fly out.

BTW, morning all.

Just remember to wake up in time to go home Glen.

My little sister is coming over today so I can detail her vehicle. Her kids can play with ours and everybody will have a swell time.

I casually mentioned some scratches I noticed on the car when we were at dinner Saturday. I told her "you should bring it to my house so I can clean it up for you".

Happy Mon.....oops sorry.

my uncle stopped over the house yesterday. The gear-head responsible for my shenanigans...

With his new project. A crusty but very solid '86 Malibu wagon, with a 355 sbc, 4-spd M22, 12", 30splines and an LSD from a late model Chevy truck.

What a hoot!!! Pull up to a light, he woods the pedal, bouncing off the 7300 limiter and side steps the clutch and as we pull through our own cloud of smoke, power shifts 2nd and lays another 100ft of rubber. It's been a while since I had that much fun in a car.

With under 2k invested...such funs.

That does sounds like a hoot! Cool that he went with a manual, too.

There are a couple of nicely done and healthy sounding Malibu Wagons around here.
