I don't think keeping busy will be a problem. On the other hand, I can keep busy working and get a nice paycheck too. Working just isn't fun or interesting anymore. Bad enough that I keep finding myself looking for jobs in Iraq and Afghanistan (for far less money). My age and experience/skills make me "overqualified" for most interesting stuff except in DC which is not what/where I want to be.

^^^ditto. We're prudent, but not tight with our money. I carry a lunch to the office every day. Our newest car at this point in time is my wife's clapped out 12-year old Jetta. The big expense for us has been the renovations to the house. Thankfully we bought the place when the market was right near the bottom. And now that we sold the condo, we're mortgage free on the house. Fingers crossed that our future retirement offers nothing but happy surprises.

I'm just going to die early. With my health and problems it is pretty much guaranteed there won't be much retirement time.
Hey, dad and granddads had it too.

So far only one bother has lived as long as dad, and he had a different mom. He has had several heart attacks and just about only sits around his apartment and looks up UFO stuff. And freakin sends me links to it.

My dad lived to 82. Both grandfathers lived to 78 with 1970s medical care.

My Dad and both grandfathers lived to 72.
Oldest brother is 71.
Brother only 13 years older already passed from MS.
Next older brother 68 also has MS and is only a couple of years out from what I see and the typical life span.
Am 56 and have as many or more health problems than any of them thanks to that MSRA and the disbetes complications that have followed. Freaking Nail. Doctors tell me that any day I live past that MSRA thing is a blessing.

When I retire they are gonna find me dead, face first in a key of blow that I will be trying to sniff off a hookers chest

LOL, I wish

It's more like

With the big question of to golf or drink more cider (TGIF)? The lightning in the background is a little disconcerting. I think the cider is winning

My vote is for cider. Lightening sounds a bit shocking.
