OK, someone just heated their lunch in the microwave and it smells like the description in the bad BO thread.

I don't mind garlic, curry, whatever, but when it smells like a teen that hasn't showered in a couple weeks why would you eat it?

When I was 15 my brother and I built a VW based dune buggy but there were no dunes so it was really a mud buggy. We had dual rear wheels and it would go just about anywhere in soft mud. I learned to drive in it all off road. The day after my 16th birthday I was at the testing center to get my license. The guy giving the test asked right off the bat how long I had been driving since I was smooth on the clutch. I told him about the dune buggy off road experience. He just nodded his head.

I drove moms car (a pinto with a stick) around and around the house from the time I was 14. Mom had me drive home from the DOL when I got my permit and I passed the drivers exam on the first try.

When I was 16 drivers ed was not required but you or your parents got a discount on the insurance for taking it. I was the only kid that summer who drove himself to class.

I had already made the down payment to my dad on the interest free loan he gave me for my car. It was just a loan that I had to pay 100% of all the car costs except for the insurance.

My high school only allowed seniors to drive to school, or at least park on campus and there was no place else to park. When I was a senior driving my mighty 36HP 1960 VW bug I got there real early to start taking photos and I always got a good parking spot. I told one of the many oversize jocks I would take lots of pictures of him and get him in the year book so he was my protector. Everyone knew mess with me, the muscle head was gonna have some payback.

My first standard car was a 76 914 2.0. The 3rd car I bought after college.

The first manual I drove was a light blue CJ5 and I was about 12. I grew up on dirt bikes so the concept wasn't foreign to me but I remember telling my cousin we really didn't need to shift that first time in the pasture.

My second car was a manual and I have had at least one manual in the stable ever since.

Both kids can drive a stick on the computer with the G27, but they don't have to buy the tires for those cars. They both think it is easier to slip the tires than the clutch.

Oh great. Have to take over my phone account and company gives me $55 a month to pay for it. Guess the upgrades are on me from now on.
We are on verizon. The cheapest data plan...2gig a month is $55.

I basically have all data except for email turned off and use less than 1 gig per month.

After my 36 HP VW Bug I upgraded to a really fast car, a 1973 VW bug. 60 HP was amazing. Then the 95HP 1974 914 2.0 a years later. Then I quit buying cars until 1991 when I got the Elky. Then in 1996 I got my 911. I have always owned at least one manual since 1970 and only the one automatic, the El Camino.

We only use data when outside the house. The home wifi works just as well as the one at work.

Kimray told me I could either go to a verizon store or call an 888 number to get a personal account setup and transfer my phone number.

Called the 888 number. Told me it would be $55/mo (What the company is giving me for a phone) for unlimited and 2GB data. Or could get 5Gb data for $60/mo. Said I could upgrade my 16GB iphone 6 to a 128GB iphone 6S for $200 or 128GB 7 for $300 and they would charge credit card. Said it would be cheaper than waiting until the account was transferred.

Went to the Verizon store to decide which phone. They said it is going to cost me $75 a month with 2gb data, $20 a month more than what Kimray will be paying me and I keep my old phone. Or I can upgrade to an 32GB iPhone 6S and get 5 GB of data for $77 a month under a 2 year contract because of a special deal.

They say the business guy is lying that I can upgrade to a 128GB iPhone 7 for $300 and transfer to a personal account with 2GB data for $55 or $60 for 5GB data.

When I got my license my Dad gave me the 66 Corvair that he had bought for himself but never got around to fixing. With 5 kids, I wonder why.

He only gave it to me because I got hired at Pizza Hut and had to get to work.

Yep. 2 door with the automatic on the dash. The interior was black vinyl and mint condition. The body wasn't in great shape but it ran good when the fan belt stayed in place. I took the hub caps off so it looked like a stock car racer. Ok, in MY mind it did.

My brother rented a corvair and took it on a HS senior trip to the lake. Him and his buddies drilled a couple of holes in the front trunk and filled it with ice and beer. It ended up in the pool at the motel they stayed at.

Dated a girl in HS whose Dad had a metallic light blue Corvair Convertible with matching interior. Never got to drive the Corvair. She liked driving it too much.

Her dad also had a Model T coupe. They drove it in parades. The black laquer paint job was getting kind of swirly so polished it up for him. While polishing on it took it to my brother's to have dinner. His father-in-law was there and looked closely at it talking about how there was a trick to the magnetos on those old Model T's. Whatever he did, he fixed it. A month or so after I took it back to her Dad all polished up he asked me what I did to it because he stopped having electrical problems that were driving him nuts. We were best buds after that.

Her Dad liked me even after the pregnancy scare. She started taking the pill and was late the first month on it. Her Mom not so much. Her Mom was a seamstress and was making a dress for the daughter. It was a knee length tight fitting dress, but the material was white with big red, blue, green, and yellow polka dots all over it. It was long sleeved which did NOT go with the short hem and it had big ruffles on the ends of the sleeves and around the neck. She modeled it for me and her Mom asked me what I thought of it. Like an idiot I told her. Said it fit really nice and like the dress part, but she needed to get rid of the long sleeves and all the ruffles because that made it look like a clown costume. Her Dad cracked up but her Mom was miffed. Wasn't invited over to hang with her and the parents after that.

Another girl I dated had one of those huge Mercury Marques. It was parked under covered parking at the apartment where she was living. A tornado/wind storm came thru and the covered parking collapsed. The body wasn't hurt at all, but all the windows were busted out and the top was smashed down so the windows were only about six inch tall slots. The top was crushed straight down and all the doors still worked. It was like a chop top. If you ignored the pillars being mangled and the glass missing it looked cool. It was kinda fun to tool around in until her insurance fixed it.

A guy in that apartment complex was a lucky dog. He had a red corvette and the cars on either side of it kept the collapsed roof from touching it. It didn't even have a scratch.
