I'm not too keen on the taste of the flambé from the grill. It's not something I grew up with I suppose. Dad would build his own bbqs from a few cinder blocks and a 1/4 inch steel plate.

The barbie came with a grill plate but I bought an additional flat plate and swapped it out. I'll put it back on when I want to sit a roasting pan inside the barbie.

Early for beer? Is that possible?

It was hours AFTER noon.

Maybe early for your local time, only maybe.

Since moving into suburbia, my wife and I carpool together a few days a week and take public transportation the rest of the time. Today we carpooled and she picked me up by my office during a heavy downpour. The water was 5-6inches deep and running fast when I stepped off the sidewalk and came around to get into the drivers seat. Driving home with completely soaked feet is not priceless. If I wasn't such a controlling tool and just let her drive, I could've kept my feet relatively dry.

I also want to give a shoutout to the two nazis that decided to go side-by-side down the freeway at 45 mph. You are so thoughtful to decide how fast everyone else should drive today. Will you come over to tell when I should go to bed tonight, too? I really don't know to live without your guidance. Also, bonus points for speeding up to try to prevent me from going around you when a third lane was added. Strong work.

The speed controlling (long sting of expletives deleted) are thick nationwide.

Glad I could help Glen.

Remember passing that car and moving van playing traffic nazis on the way Rolla my last trip there. Just as I changed lanes to pass on the shoulder (gravel) it magically changed to pavement and stayed pavement just long enough for me to pass and move back into the right lane. It was magical, absolutely magical. Couldn't have planned it any better if I knew the paved shoulder was there. Gave me an awesome feeling of satisfaction!

Not for me. Still just Thursday for 1/2 a day.

We have a large job that the client wants Mr. Sid files as the final deliverable. Mr. Sid is a program that has been around a long time in the mapping world. We have a software "cartridge" that we have to buy and recharge. It only works on computers we installed it on 11 years ago, so it is all XP and Win2000 computers. It is slow but usually stable.

At home by decree of Mrs Carrera it is laundry day. I would rather hang out at work rather hang out at home and do laundry.

The traffic coming in today was very light. The committee to get in Glen's way sent some top operatives to do what they could. One moron rolled right though a RED light even though I had a green arrow right of way. The moron was in a big hurry so rolling right through a red light was imperative but to merge onto the 60 MPH highway was best done at 35MPH after a 1/2 mile long on ramp. He was lucky my photon torpedoes are still on back order or he would have been vaporized.

We eat a local chain restaurant called the Outback. It is has an Aussie theme. We usually just get the prime rib which is good.

The point is their bathroom doors are labeled as Bloke and Sheilas. I was going to avail myself of their facilities and a dude standing in front of the door had a panicked look on his face. He was happy to know we were the blokes. I was amazed any adult was so ignorant to not know the difference.

I figured everyone has seen Crocodile Dundee or at least Steve Irwin.

Glen, don't discount the level of stupidity out there.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with perfect weather.

A couple more hours and I am done for the week.

Several years ago at our local autocross track a buddy came out to watch and he had his daughter that was probably 10 at the time with him. After the autocross we allow "fun runs" that are not timed and we can take a passenger. I took my buddies daughter and she giggled like the girl in the video the entire run. Then I took her dad. He was terrified and turned green buy the end of the run. His daughter ran up and said "wasn't that fun daddy" but daddy was not having fun had he puked on the grass. While he was ralphing I took his daughter for another lap and she loved it. He was mortified when we got back that I took her around again.
