I can understand a Cayenne Turbo being very fast around the track. Just don't understand tracking one on a regular basis and running tires specifically for that.

My BMW X3 with sport package did a very fast Autocross lap, but I only did one event out of curiosity. Only got the sport package because it came with sport seats and the standard seats made my butt hurt. I know I never tried testing the top speed being raised from 120 to 150.

HR is stupid about the training stuff. That was part of our department layoff list fiasco. The people they put on the layoff list that didn't have training on their records but were the ones doing all the work. The truth was the people that had all the training were not doing their jobs well enough and were the ones that got let go.

Guess I need to dig out all my training certificates and go throw them on the HR Directors desk.

Glen, there are quite a few guys with Cobras that like the Mickey Thompson tires. I will dig up a couple links for you. Some even run the ET Street radials on all four corners and love them. I have thought about going that route as well since the Avon tires are about $500 each for the rear and $450 for the fronts. They have lots of grip though.

We have to have 12 hours minimum of training per state law because of what we do here. This is one of the questions in our old series. We have a new company now.

Two different times in an August when the grass was yellow and dry and it was a fire hazard I was waiting to make a left turn in a 4 lane intersection with a light when I noticed a smoldering fire starting in the grass near the curb to the right of the road I was turning onto several car length away from the intersection. After making my turn I pulled over to the right, jumped out, and stomped the beginnings of a grass fire started by someone tossing a lit cigarette.

Very interesting both times, while I was stomping the small grass fire an older car with 4 nuns in habits pulled over behind my car, all 4 jumped out and without a word each emptied a bottle of drinking water on the smoldering ashes. The again without a word got back in their car and drove away.

When I told people at work about this, their only comment was that they ask if I was the one that threw the cigarette out. Yeah, like I can throw a lit cigarette out and have it land somewhere ahead of me on my intended route. If I had thrown a lit cigarette out wouldn't it have landed somewhere behind me and I would have been long gone before it started any sort of fire? Idiot arse hole pirates.

The problem with that is there is no guarantee the fire won't start just after you get out of the restroom.

No, we can't have gasoline stored indoors a the facility but there are some methylbutane based cleaners that are acceptable.

So if all things go well, when do you set sail?

I had to make a minor modification to the fender liner to keep them from rubbing.

You could go to a lower profile in that tire then.

I sometimes light a match in the bathroom after a particularly foul smelling incident and haven't had any explosions, fires, or combustion of any kind. Have I just been lucky all these years?
