Jim, I hope you enjoyed I-44 and the 75 MPH speed limit in Oklahoma. If you hit the right highways in Texas you will see 80 MPH speed limits. Then you get out west in the desert and the speed limit drops for whatever reason. I suspect that reason is speeding ticket revenue, we all know it ain't safety. Miles of open roads in California and a 65 MPH speed limit seems painful. Of course almost no one went to speed limit in California.

With the winds out here, the car & trailer felt a bit too skittish above 70 mph.

What is this hump thing?

If you date a twin, can you tell her sister you know what she looks like naked?

We managed to get the clapped out Jetta & trailer up to 75 and not die. West TX is pretty sparse. Not many gas stations and even fewer bathrooms. Good b-fast at Jimmy's Egg (naturally) in Wichita Falls. Lubbock is worth skipping. Thursday in NM. Friday is AZ. Sid, let me know what area to look for a hotel. We'll overnight in your general area.

Beer kept people from dying from the plague. Maybe that's the cure for cancer. Drink beer instead of water!

Met some identical twins, they were in their 20's and could not tell them apart. I asked if they ever switched boy friends. I didn't get slapped but they didn't actually give me a verbal answer either. All they did was look at each other and giggle.

It was during a day I spent skiing at Steamboat. Spent the day riding lifts to the very top. Skiing halfway down the front side. stopping and getting a drink at the warming house bar. Skiing the rest the way down and repeat.

It was quite the enjoyable day until about 3pm when we had just got of the lift at the top and a blizzard hit. I was quite warm in my wool sweater and corduroy pants and long underwear. Everyone teased me about wearing goggles on my belt that day, we were all just wearing sunglasses. Until the blizzard hit, then with my goggles I was the only one that could still see to ski down the mountain. When we got to the lodge everyone looked at us and laughed. With my wool sweater, cords, beard and long hair I was covered in snow from head to foot. People commented that it looked like the abominable snowman had lead the group in out of the blizzard. Looked it my reflection and I was all covered thickly in snow except for the goggles, ski poles, and skis.

Our old bass player stopped by the house today. I haven't had a long visit with him for many years.
He and his wife played in a jazz band on cruise ships for a few years and he plays in a few different bands currently.

During college he worked at Saleen in Detroit. One of the projects he was involved with was the Ford GT! Apparently, Saleen built the chassis and body and then it was sent to another plant for the drivetrain.

Back in the band days he had a pristine 1970 Boss 302 Mustang. He sold it to pay for his education at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Back in those days around here it was all Mopar and GM, there were just not any Mustangs. Don't know why.

I'm in Gilbert. But anything in the Tempe Gilbert chandler area works. There's some stuff right along the 10 in Tempe or chandler

Wheeeee whhhhooooo hoooo. Fun fun fun. Yea that's the ticket.

The fill valve on the toilet in the guest bathroom decided to go into slow fill mode. It took 30 minutes to refill that tank. For some reason Mrs Carrera was not happy with that. She "let" me fix it tonight. Nothing more fun than working on a toilet. Maybe roofing work or ironing. It is fixed and everyone here is happy again.
