Wayne, tell that story to your mom. She will enjoy it and then likely tell you that you deserve it for all the things you did as a kid. You won't feel any better but your mom will.

Looking at the spam box not I am getting psoriasis and diabetes cure spams. At least they think I want to rent jets and yachts and take an African Safari as well.

Yup, I'll tell her when we talk on Thursday. I certainly did dumb things in my youth. My son is smart but lacks common sense sometimes. It comes with the Aspberger's we are told.

One of my friends in the 5th grade was likely a genius level kid. He always made perfect grades in school. We had one teacher that would never grade any paper a 100. She would find a period that was not a perfect spot or a lower case I that the dot was off center too far and knock it to a 99. He handed in one paper that even she could not find a fault with and he got the only 100 that teacher had ever given.

That kid did not have any common sense at all.

I know some very book smart people that would not survive if not for the others around them.

Did I mention how great it is to have kids?

The boy came down last night and told the upstairs toilet "exploded" and there is water all over the floor. WTH?!!!!!!

Sure enough, there was an inch of soapy water on the floor. For the love of all that is holy!!!!!

Lots of towels and a small heater dried it up but c'mon.

His punishment for using bag judgement was to get a buzz cut from Mom.

Now I know why my Dad drank and worked "long hours" when we were growing up.
So what kind of soap was it?

Just curious, how old is yours? Ours is 6. I think D has one about that age too.

He's 12 now.

It was the hand soap that I literally had just filled back up in the am along with the 2 rolls of TP I put in there.

Says he was washing his dead hamster's dish in the toilet. Pffft! again... WTH?!!!!!!!!

He has always had an attraction to water in the house although he is not big on going in the pool.

We had to ban him from using the upstairs shower because he overflowed the tub???? more than once. Water was leaking into the garage. No real damage but still....

So, if it were me I would have dumped the liquid soap in the tank to see what would happen when it flushed. Close?

Hmmm, good point.

Found out that one of his friends from school that has been coming around the house was suspended today. Don't know why but I'm sure it was his stellar behavior. He's in the group of "at risk" 5th graders that I work with.

Was in the special ed class in 2nd grade for almost a whole day before they decided to put me back in regular class. Today they would probably say I had ADHD. Just didn't read their books and stuff unless I found it interesting. Got A's but when the teacher asked me to read out loud I made up my own stories to go with the pictures. They decided I only read for information.

The first book the teacher made me read from the school library was "Where the Red Fern Grows." Absolutely HATED it because the dogs got ripped up and killed by a mountain lion and took almost a whole chapter to die. As bad a Old Yeller, which gratefully my parents kept me from watching. The thing that got me it recreational reading was a friend of my Dad's at work gave their boy's (then outgrown) huge Hardy Boys mysteries collection. Really liked those.

I've always loved to read. In 2nd grade I read the most books in our class. I got a cool book on firetrucks which I still have.

I used to read the newspaper[never before my Dad, of course] every day. Man, he would get pi$$ed if you didn't put it back in exact order that it arrived.

When I had my 4x4 with big tires took my Dad 4 wheeling. He never said a thing even though we climbed over and went thru some crazy stuff. About a month later I started getting a couple of 4x4 and off roading magazines.

The my oldest brother (the extraterrestrialist) would come by while I was at work and "borrow" those magazines a soon as they came. It was before I knew I even got them or had a chance to read them. He never brought them back either. Thought my subscription had run out until I visited his apartment and saw all my magazines. Really pissed me off.

Think he was jealous because I heard him tell his boys one time that I had this cool off road vehicle and never even went hunting. Brother couldn't even keep a car running let alone any type of hunting vehicle. In fact, the last straw his wife divorced him over is he took the months grocery money and spent it on a hunting trip for himself.

He wonders why his ex and kids won't even talk to him anymore.

When I was 12 he was going to take me bow hunting for dear. Got a nice compound bow, practice and hunting arrows, built my own target and even camo gear. Sent a lot of time target practicing and got really good. Come hunting season instead of helping me get a deer tag and planning a trip he borrowed my hunting arrows. Never saw my arrows or heard about hunting with him again. What a royal arse. Was really glad I hadn't spent the time and money for a tree stand yet.

I loved to read when I was a kid.

At one of the schools in Alabama I read every science fiction book the library had. The good news is the base library had a great selection.

Time to lock the doors and turn out the lights and make like a baby and head out!

My wife is our IT guy. er gal?

She likes it when I ask if she is done fixing the item every 5 minutes.

No, I have no patience for computer/phone issues.
