18 hours since the last post. Where is everyone? I spent the afternoon in the garage. The humidity is only 70% so the AC was wonderful. I now have a starter interrupt hidden switch. I've also put the lug nut locks back on the wheels. With the car parked outside for two weeks I figure it is one more layer of protection.

I was waiting to see how close to the 2nd page it would get.

Dreamt last night that I went to leave wherever it is I was and someone had stolen the 928. Looked all over for it. Was about to report it stolen when I remembered it was at the shop. Cayenne was where I left it. Woke up as I was getting in to drive off. Hate weird dreams where I am running around looking for something like that. At least it was in color.

Speaking of looking, earlier today was looking for my credit card. Had it in my shirt pocket and it was gone. Was looking everywhere saying out loud, "Where is my credit card." After looking several places Pepper brought it to me with tooth holes all in it, the smart arse. Did know whether to praise her for bringing it to me or scold her for chewing it up. Now I gotta get another one and get her trained to bring me stuff without chewing it up in transit. Guess I don't have to worry about any accounts getting hacked that has my card remembered,

Spent the day in the garage as well. My wife had a baby shower for our youngest daughter at our house. No way I was going near there all day.

Put a new seal in the power steering box on my Massey-Ferguson and adjusted the clutch. Greased up the 1 ton truck. Cleaned up the shop. Mowed around the garage. cleaned the inside of the 911. Got all that done before the guest even arrived so I took the 911 for a long ride.

Stijn!!

Evidently when I was swapping in the new spark plugs and put the air filter back on I bumped the connections for the pressure sensor for the AC system. The AC was non functional for the trip to breakfast yesterday. It was only low 70s so not a big problem. I tried to figure out what was wrong and almost cried when I realized I was going to have to remove the air cleaner again. I got the pressure sensor reconnected and the air cleaner back in place. AC is working again!

Yeah, a busy but good day here as well.

We built my daughter a balance beam. 1 4x4,some foam seal for house foundations, pink and blue duct tape and she is happy.

The duct tape has the same texture and feel of the real beams and the foam gives a bit of padding.

The widowed neighbor moved the rest of her belongings from the garage and gave me a 10 drawer Craftsman tool chest with a nice maple top on it. I don't have room in the garage for another one so it's in the laundry room for folding clothes and more storage.

Careful Glen, you don't want to start fixing things like I do...also having to fix the things you broke fixing the one thing to went in to fix. I don't know why it's like that. Usually with electronics stuff I just take it apart, put it back together and it mysteriously works again.

You too Wayne, first it's the tool box in the laundry room, then before you know it you have a coffee table made out of an engine block, chairs made out of car seats, and hoods on the walls for decoration. Maybe it' only me that has to worry about that since I'm single.

Remember back when I got my Boxster S I almost had Glen make a print that was full size with (actual size) under it to put on a big empty bedroom wall.

Instead I have this picture...

24x36 framed and hanging on the wall behind my desk.

Had a similar picture taken of the 928, but the #*@@!! photographer wouldn't sell me the pic. All she would do was sell me a very very expensive print. Then after nobody would pay so much for her prints she quit taking pictures at the PCA autocross. Funny how that works.

Had a photographer friend come shoot some pics, but... He used such a fast lens and refused to stop it down so even though they were framed nicely all the pictures he took looked like the cars were sitting still.

I am awake!

Happy Monday everyone. The Seattle weather is back this week. It is going to be cloudy and raining all week through the weekend. That is one reason I HAD to mow the yard last weekend.

I finally got my wife motivated to pick the places we would like to visit on our road trip. She went to AAA and got the tour-books of the different states. It has a description of different places of interest. Right now we have about 3 months worth of places to see. Now we have to cut that down to something that fits into a week.

The photographer that comes out to shoot now is great. I throw him a $20 at least twice a year and he shoots a lot of pics of my car.

This is my favorite so far.

He has a great eye and I paid him a very fair price for the RAW file of this one. It comes out to a 75 MB tiff file. I am tempted to print it bigger but I am out of wall space in the garage and I would have to take something down to put this one up.

This is one of his other cool shots. It really shows the size difference in the new cars.

Good Rainy Morning!

This is the one that chick took that wouldn't let me have a file...

She was afraid I would sell it to a magazine or something without her getting any of the money. It wasn't even on the sunny side of the car.

That looks like the one I shot Richard. The bad news is the lens was only a 200 MM so I think there is a lot of cropping. Let me look one more time, I think I know where that image is.

Found em!

And sent to Richard.

Also, our pressure tank for the well split. Oh joy that was.

Afternoon all.

We put in a water well for our sprinkler system only. It is certainly drinkable water, but it is not hooked into our house water system. The well drilling company wanted to quote the pump and a pressure tank. I told him no pressure tank and he was saying the pump would be over pressured and I told him it is only for the sprinkler system. The system knows to open a valve and then kick on the pump. The pump goes off and then the last valve closes. Never any high pressure to worry about. I went for total overkill on the system. The pump is a 220 volt 1.5 HP pump putting out 18 gallons a minute. I have 99 spray heads. I will never do another sprinkler system install myself. That resembles real work.

We had a wire come off our pump a few years ago. The well guy asked if we did any irrigation with it and we said no, why? He said the pump is big enough for ag irrigation so we won't have to worry about wearing it out.

I can see not needing a tank for the sprinkler heads but a 10 gallon is pretty cheap. More headache than it is worth though in your case.

When we lived in CA we had to replace our tank but that was an old one with no bladder so we had to drain it and let air in every few weeks. Finally got tired of it and put a bladder tank in.
