Don't know. They have almost no information about it at PCA yet.

We're in for 4-5 days of rain. I wonder if I should build an ark.

Went to a place in Austin that has a big pit like that. It's is supposed to be really good BBQ. Their portions were huge, however, it just wasn't that great.

I'm thinkin it's one of those places that is packed with a long line waiting. When I went it was almost empty, no wait. When you have to stand around waiting for food somewhere it always makes it better than it actually is.

Good BBQ can have vastly different meanings. And some people don't even know what good BBQ is.

On my trip to Charlotte, NC in 2008 I asked on Pelican about good roads and good eats. I did learn of the Tail of the Dragon and had fun doing that and the Blue Ridge Parkway and other fun roads. Several people recommended a BBQ restaurant in the area. I programmed it into my GPS and made a point to stop there. It was a former Dairy Queen or similar restaurant with a very small dining room. I ordered sliced brisket. They sliced some meat on a deli slicer. It was 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch thick. They put it on a Styrofoam plate and had plastic utensils. I tried to cut the brisket with the plastic knife and there was no way. I had to use my pocket knife to cut it and my jaw got tired trying to chew it. I can forgive the local vinegar based sauce as a regional thing. But that meat was a NFG. On a 1 to 10 scale it was a 1. The BBQ place I eat at here has sliced brisket that is a inch thick hand cut slices and you don't need a knife. It falls apart with a fork. To paraphrase Jerry Clower "it is so good it makes ya wanna slap yer moma for never making a meal go good"

Good morning all. Over the hump day on the downhill slide toward the weekend!

Sounds good. I will see ya in July.

It will be just about the same distance for us to get to Spokane, WA and it was to Jay Peak, VT last year. The biggest difference is the size of the states for the 2017 trip.

I met up with nynor in Salt Lake City 2012
I met up with Max in Monterey, CA back in 2014
I met up with Pete last year and you in a few months.

Turn on the AC!

I will bet major money Spokane will be a whole LOT cooler that Savannah, GA in AUGUST. Heck Hershey, PA is still the hottest Parade I remember. Worse than Ft Worth, and Salt Lake City. The heat index in Savannah was 125 one day!

Well call Charlie Griffith and order up a nice Dual Kuhel system and install it. Than you can be cool!

The instructions he writes are a work of art and very straight forward. The only special equipment need is the vacuum and charge part and that is easy to hire out if you don't want to mess with it.

With zero doubt getting AC that flat ass works in my 911 is the best thing I have ever done to my car. When we were in Savannah it was stupid hot and humid and on one trip my wife asked me to turn the temperature UP because she was cold! In Savannah, GA in August!
