Then you might want to consider pricing it at a point that you could at least move into a 997 with the proceeds. Then, if someone is willing to fork out that much, you can at least get something good with the money. Leave it to a prospective buyer to say no and walk. Nothing to lose.

Basically kept the 928 because looked around and there weren't any other cars I wanted.

Sure doesn’t sound like it. I think you need a trial separation. Ship it to the dry desert of AZ for winter storage to help you decide if yuh can live without it!

Sid you can't handle a 911. Lol. I think I'll keep her a few more years.

You could have my shop fix it. That will give you a trial separation! At least think it is trial?

Morning all.
Brent, since the great Rt 66 place is closed on Monday we have only a million or so other options for restaurants. I will think about a place that is not expensive and still has some local ambience or flair. One area overflowing with restaurants is the downtown entertainment district called Bricktown. We (the citizens taxes) overhauled the area totally, but kept the old brick warehouse look. There is a canal that has a short boat ride but it takes about an hour, and that is no eating, just sit in a boat and look and listen to the description of the area from the pilot. With probably 30 to 40 restaurants in the area we can find a place to eat down there for sure. They have everything from Crabtown Cajun food, to great a BBQ place.

Yea, I am the same way. On any trip I avoid the chains unless it is a road trip 900 mile day and the Subway is at the rest stop and no line. When we spent the night in Erie. PA the motel listed free breakfast on the Booking.com site. It was mostly a place to sleep. The free breakfast was a voucher at the McDonald's that shared the parking lot. They do have a decent quick breakfast there.
The 16th is fine with me. I presume Richard can make it as well. Richard is easy to pick out in restaurant, just look for the man that looks like a Duck Dynasty family member.

aYep. I am both Mr. Flexible time wise AND often complemented on my facial grooming.
And plenty issues from things other than 928 separation. At least my DD is another Porsche, which has it's own issues, ![]() There is a steak joint near the stock yards that is about as local as you can get, Cattleman's Cafe. Not to sure about the cheap part. Does have the western cafe experience down pat though. Had a friend that wanted to take another friend from Austin to a eatery that was local. Took him to County Line BBQ. County Line originated in Austin. Not nearly as local as was hoped for.

Jacob's favorite is ribs followed by anything smoked, then chicken strips. Emily's favorite is evidently not found yet. There are a few foods she doesn't like, but not many.
The restaurant we stayed at in Erie had a cook to order breakfast and the rooms were reasonable. Question for those that mentioned it before, the Salt Lick in Driftwood is the good one correct?

Cattleman's is great food. One of the few places where I will order a steak. Usually I can cook a steak at home for a lot less, and better. Cattleman's has great steaks since that is what built their reputation and they are at the stockyards.
The big challenge with them is getting in. They are BUSY at normal times. They have a nice breakfast buffet that the local region of the Porsche club used. Cattleman's pretty much told us to go away, they were too busy on Saturday mornings. At lunch time or dinner time there is almost always a line to get into the place. They have a pretty good hamburger as well. If we can get there before 11:30 we can get in most likely. One reason I picked Bricktown is the variety of places to eat. From Earl's BBQ to Mickey Mantles to Toby Keith's "I love this bar" to Sonic corporate headquarters, to a Fuzzy's Taco's. https://www.tripadvisor.com/RestaurantsNear-g51560-d108485-Bricktown-Oklahoma_City_Oklahoma.html Bricktown Brewery is good, but not the place to go with kids and a guy on road trip.

Jazmo'z Bourbon Street Cafe has Alligator on the menu. Usually just an appetizer portion served up like chicken nuggets. Mickey Mantle's is not open for lunch.

When we first bought this house my first project before we even finished moving in was to install a central vacuum system. Then a year later install the sprinkler system. I have never been done with the projects. This year it was the huge new flowerbed. 3.8 tons of rock wall to build and over 5,000 pounds of soil to shovel.

Yep, Salt Lick in Round Rock Sucks. Last time I went to visit friends in Austin I said I wanted to go to Salt Lick. They took me to the one in Round Rock because it was a lot closer than Driftwood. I knew something was wrong when there was almost nobody there at 6pm. The meat was dried out and both the apple the pecan pies tasted like they left the sugar out. Don't know how you could possibly do that with pecan pie? The bitter pie was like that raccoon in that commercial, "This is awful, you gotta try it." Everyone in our group had to try it to see how bad it was. Maybe it was some kind of secret thing to order pie and get your meals comped.
