One of my customers gave me some of this today...said it's a wonder product to use - many applications. Guess it was created back in 1958 in Croatia and Poland and now sold in 40 countries worldwide.

According to Wiki here's the ingredients:
salt max. 56%
dehydrated vegetables 15.5% (carrot, parsnip, onions, celery, parsley leaves)
flavour enhancers (MSG max. 15%, disodium inosinate)
sugar
spices
cornstarch
riboflavin (for yellow coloring)

Seems like basically a sodium-based seasoning.

I used a store-bought crust and was going to make a quiche.
But I wasn't following a recipe... just going from memory, and I forgot the half & half.

I don't know what to call this mistake, but it sure was good.

I think in Spain they'd call that a Tortilla, but I could be wrong. Looks/sounds tasty to me. Egg, cheese and stuff, what's not to love?

swung for the fence last night with guests over for dinner.

made a Paella. for the record, i think a my big 12in skillet is superior to a paella pan..when done on my stove top. (it was crushing rain yesterday). steamed the extra bivalves in a sauce similar in flavor to a ratatouille. BOOM!

Lamb with a Garlic Rosemary and Anchovy rub. I would have made a damn good wife...

I'll have roasted brussel sprouts and potatoes as well.

Ah Lea and Perrins. One of my favorite dinners. I often enjoy it with a side of beef and lightly steamed vegetables.

I steamed the dumplings then shallow fired them in rice bran oil. The other stuff is hummus, four beans salad out of a tin and "fresh is best" tom'.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1487055306.JPG

My Valentine Day special;

Lamb Shank with Scalloped Potatoes served with a Niagara "Showcase" Pinot Noir (big difference with the normal version from the same vineyard).

Ha ha....nothing wrong with that, Bill....I've never made my own dumplings despite seeing it done on TV a million times. One of those things I figure I will get around to one of these days.

Love dumplings though....yum! :p

Gochujang pulled pork and onion toasted sandwich with semi-raw egg yolk. Best thing I've made up in ages.
