Well, if you're gonna pick nits, the fan pulley should be the color of the nut as should be all the MFI linkage.

But, the thread was/is about engine porn as shown by Henry's painted engines, not about what is concours or correct.

In addition, it's what's inside that really counts. I used to get beat in racing by the dirtiest looking motors that just ran like an ape with his ass on fire pissing and crapping all the way to the checkers.

sorry - just didn't want anyone to be miss-led (by the first line in this thread "If you have ever been wondering just what a 1973 911 T engine looks like the day it was delivered, this is it.") and copy that 73 motor as the die-for, gold-standard that they are going to re-create to make the ultimate Manhattan Trophy winner. Ok a few more of the new engine from Porsche. This even has a two year factory warranty. Concours correct or not, this is a true factory delivered original.

This is from a mirror so it is flipped.

The pic must be 2 years old, at least. It's of Porcupine911's car, before he sold it. Pic was taken at one of Sherwood's Saturday morning get-togethers.

Has it been that long? I try and make it a few times a year. I live just down the 2 fwy but kids and family duties make it really hard. Do you show up often because I really don't remember seeing any blue 930s. But then again, I don't go as often as I should.

This is the engine of a 911 with 10 miles on the odometer. Remanafactured by Porsche AG. It was at the Porsche Parade Concours today. More photos to come.
The shroud should be Red, considering the price asked for a raffle ticket. Also, the paint on the MFI linkage was yellow back in the day..

Oh well, even the factory today can't perfectly replicate the factory of then...

Original '72S engine for comparison. 100% as it left the factory except for the "toro high torque engine" decal and the pressure fed tensioners upgrade...not visible here. I dunno about '73..but my valve covers came from the factory painted black.

What did that tag say? Was that a factory original back in the day?

You didn't get it...I said "considering the price of the raffle tickets the shroud should be red." Meaning, the raffle car shoulda been an S!
