I have some pictures of spectacular, and craptacular engine failures, failed parts...
I think this picture may be the holy grail of engine hand grenadedness... Looks like it was helped via an impact from a similarly interested car

Schumi, It's a Hemi drag motor, fuel injected with long air horns that are pretty narrow. He's trying to increase torque with the long tubes. It will decrease the high end HP. If it had larger diameter tubes but shorter it would increase HP but harm the torque.
This car will leave the line hard and requires damn good traction and a steady right foot driver to set the front end back down. somewhere there's a math formula for runner volume to cylinder volume and how it reacts to the engines RPM
