See the coil packs at the back? Waste spark system.

It works very well. My VR6 golf has a similar system.

I'm not having much luck finding a thread on such a project.

If anyone has the time could they provide a link?

The original poster of that engine does not have it in his "garage" profile either.

It's an older electromotive setup.

Those are GM DIS style coils. Extremely common with aftermarket ECU due to quality, availability and performance.

G60 would easily fit... which means a 20v turbo fits as well. Such great engines off the shelf from VW during this time. Lower the compression with a spacer, add ARP head studs and a cam and it's 700hp capable with boost. Swap pistons and rods and you're north of 1000hp capable. Unreal.
