There used to be a gourmet market nearby called Harvest Ranch. They had this incredible goose liver pate - mind blowing good. With some french baguette, assorted cheese & fruit, a good chardonnay, well...we only live once right! LOL. I guess I will live longer now that they have closed up shop.

Hell Yeah. I used to work at a company that had offices in Lafayette and New Orleans as well as my office in Houston. Our company was full of coon asses. It was fantastic. From time to time you'd walk past the break room and someone would have dropped off a big batch of boudin that would be just laying there.
We also had a chili cookoff in the fall and a gumbo cookoff in the spring. There are aspects of that company that I REALLY miss.
