I wasn't crazy about this episode... I'm not sure why Rick had to flip like that in front of the group, he could have done a better job of explaining what happened - why defended himself against Shane - without going all bat**** crazy "I'm your leader" kinda thing. Then again, he's allowed to flip out a little, I guess, but it wasn't sold as well as it could have been.

The "zombie acting" was also average, I think they do a better job in small numbers with professional zombies, there were so many on screen some looked kinda silly ("hey you, extra, come here and walk stupid in the background")...

And what's the default zombie speed, then ? Apparently very very slow when chasing Rick or being shot one by one by Herschel, but lightning fast when following Andrea in the woods ? Hmm... Oh well, still...looking forward to season 3 - The Jail ! and the new badass member of the group ;-)

Any Barnes and noble or such will have them. They are really quite good and I would recommend reading them.

I bought the compendium - thick book, from amazon.... It covers season 1-2-3, maybe 4 at the pace at which they are going... Be prepared, it's black and white, it's dark, and you won't like the ending ;-)

If I was Rick, I would have picked a better vehicle than a 35 year old Suburban. . . .

I was thinking the same thing. Of all the cars parked everywhere, why would you choose gas guzzlers like the Suburban and the old farm truck.

Fuel has to be scavenged - set yourself up with a fleet of eco boxes.

First thing on my agenda with a zombie apocalypse would be building an armored transport vehicle. A couple brinks vans would be a good start, maybe a number with gun mounted on the back and a small tanker for fuel and water. Second would be finding a dependable place to stay, a prison is a bit large, im thinking old con retention building, fill first floor windows w brick or concrete block.

Plus a LOT of ammo.

I thought it was funny last night when Rick announced he was running low. Their last concern seems to be preserving ammo.

That was my only problem with the episode. We need to go find gas in the morning. Why not walk a few miles to the next vehicle waiting to be taken.

From what I remember from seeing the show last night, that prison in the last scene looked like the Federal Penitentiary on McDonough Blvd. in Atlanta... of course, it was CGI and just "dropped into" that rural area, but the main building looked like this:

I think the best walker weapon would be a 6'-7' spear. Light enough to poke and jab but heavy enough to bring down on a skull to crack the egg.
