I would have deafened Maggie by shooting Merle in the head. He was totally exposed.

Back to my gripes from last week for a bit...
Quote:
1) I like the way Maggie told Merle "woah, woah, woah... back it up" after he put his gun down, but then she and Glenn let him keep inching toward them after that, and I think they're too street-savvy at this point in their journey to let him get closer than when she first told him to stop. I think they would have told him again... more forcefully... "Back up or die." Especially Glenn... he's obviously very protective of Maggie. 2) I also like the way they both had their guns drawn immediately a half second after they heard Merle's voice, even though it would have been more realistic to show them pulling the guns out when the camera shot went to them. But what I do have a problem with is that with guns drawn, I think at least Glenn would have popped Merle immediately when he went for his. 1/10th of a second versus 1/2 a second wins every time. Even if he just winged Merle and then there was a shootout and Merle got the drop on them... that would've been much more realistic, IMO. 3) This last one is minor... with reservations. I don't think Glenn would have surrendered his weapon... he could have made a headshot on Merle from that distance. But he could have been concerned that Merle would have shot Maggie with the gun right at her head. I just think it's like the old cop adage; "you never surrender your weapon." Glenn probably figured chances to escape later would occur... and I'm sure they will. ============================ This week's episode was really good. I had high hopes that after The Guv took his gunbelt off and walked around the table to Maggie, she would suddenly turn and shove him against the wall and run around the table to his gun and get some lead in him. I wonder if next week will end in the middle of the confrontation with the Woodbury Paramilitary Wannabees, or if it will end with Team Prison + Maggie + Glenn hopping back in the Hyundai and slinging gravel on their way back to the prison... maybe with WPW in hot pursuit in a Humvee.

If you take a head shot on someone that has a gun on someone else, who wins?
Seems like a no-brainer to me! hahahahahahahahahahahahah |

Sorry if it was mentioned before but what about the quick shot of the Gov's new booty call slipping on her pants? Suddenly she looks a whole lot better.

Nice pooper!
Great show, totally hooked! When the show gets dialogue heavy it seems like a melodrama, snoozer...more action! Tough believing Glenn and Maggie got caught like that, seriously, they had numerous chances to pop old Merle. Btw, stood behind Merle at Griffin observatory couple years ago, nice guy, distinctive voice. I assume he was already working on the show? Game on.

I agree. She has a kind of shemale thing to her. But if I was the Govenor of a band of refugee's amid the "biters" and there is slim pickings, I guess I could lower my standards. I guess he likes her cause she isn't a biter.

John, here's a continuity issue from last night.
"Team Prison" was walking through the woods when the walkers surround them. Daryl stabs one in the head with his Bowie and you see it coated with blood. After the camera angle change, you see him holding the knife, but it's spotless! It's a TV show!

It's the plot/character stuff that jumps out and grabs me as not making sense for one reason or another. It will make sense for Daryl will pick off a few WPW's with his crossbow to get the party started next week. Stealth killing will be a very important tactic, and he should be making headshots for sure... lots of practice. Now, if they start out with a couple of shots from Rick's pistol, that'll be on my list of "not making sense" unless he is surprised and has to take a shot to stay alive or keep one of the team alive.

I don't watch Walking Dead, but all the characters' dilemmas sound like something easily solved with a dose of ODD JOB and a dash of Jeff Higgins. Obviously some firepower amateurs facing the walkers there.

I think ODD JOB was in the last episode sleeping in a cabin in the woods. He didn't make it.
