IIRC all the living are already carrying the virus or whatever it is and will turn when they die. That is why Carl shot his mother when she died during childbirth - to keep her from turning.

You would think with Hershel being a vet. that he would have looked at the pig earlier, and Rick would have known what was wrong with it. I see this as a big hole in the story. With so few animals for food, their health would be priority one.

Not sure if Rick killed the lady after she stabbed herself but the head movinf in the sack was probably her late husband.

Regarding the pig, maybe the grass is contaminated, eat too much and you become a walker.

Or it could be the flies/mosquitoes feeding off the dead animals to continue the spread of the mutated virus.

Remember the brief moment with animal carcus covered with flies?

If the "virus" starts spreading in different ways that would be interesting.

I agree with Von regarding the pig, the fact that Hershel the vet was standing nearby but Rick didn't bother asking him to look at the sick pig seems really off.

I still enjoy the show but it seems to have hit a plateau. Each episode seems very status quo. I also don't like the fact that they have never really explained what happened to cause the zombie apocalypse. It's like people just suddenly turned into zombies, and everybody accepted it. Surely there's a backstory, much like season one where they flashed back to show things breaking down.

Whats up with all the zombies falling through the roof all the sudden? They wander around up there for weeks maybe, then suddenly they start falling like rain all over the roof?

And Rick going out on a regular basis with no gun? Yea right. No one that has lived that long would think that is a good idea.

That Clara girl was creepy. I wish she stayed around longer. Again a technical foul though- If you want to kill yourself with a knife, dont just poke your intestines. That takes forever to do you in. In and up, through the diaphram and hopefully the heart.

That question came up on "Talking Dead." Expanding a bit on what they said, the crash of the helicopter had weakened the waterproof barrier of the roof and had allowed rain to weaken the structure. Then when that dude made the wine shelving fall, all the zombies moved toward the noise.

That was the whole big deal about the secret the guy at the CDC in Atlanta whispered to Rick, then when Rick finally told everyone else they were all furious at him that he kept it a secret for so long. And how the kid who ran away in the forest reanimated after Shane shot him (that's how they knew Shane shot him). Everyone's infected, and everyone will reanimate, no matter how they die.

Finally watched the new episode - definitely not one of the best ever done, but still entertaining, and nice to have it back after so long!
