I dunno--there are too many inconsistencies starting to crop up.
examples--SPOILERS----

1. Is Dale physic? he is getting on Shane pretty ahrd regarding what he thinks he knows about Shane

2. When did Hershel put Sophia in the barn? Didn't he know that the group was looking for a little girl--he even stated "I expect when you find her you will move on"--Obviously he had no idea what Sophia looked like, but when the barn was no longer a secret, why not say "hey we captured a little girl, maybe you want to go and possibly ID her" instead of letting them go out and search daily.

3. What was the whole point of the well zombie--that thing was down there for who knows how long, like the water would be any good even if they got the zombie out?

4. Rick's wife's acting is terrible--how many variations of "I am scared and/or ready to cry but am staying strong" are there?

Eric, your thinking way too much for this series. I'm starting to think a lot of the acting is wearing on me. The missing girls mom ranks up there also as someone who's dialog should be kept to a minimum. I find Rick's wife very annoying also. I would of moved on.

Yeah--I think I may be over-analyzing, but when so much of the episodes are dedicated to the interaction between the characters instead of action sequences, I start to focus too much on their acting and the nonsensical plot holes/lack of continuity.

They really need to develop Sophia's mother more, and I could also stand to get rid of the girl that shot Daryl by mistake--she just annoys the heck out of me.

I like Daryl, and Daryl's brother--still hoping he pops back into the show as more than just a hallucination.

You should watch "Talking Dead" the live after show, show. Robert Kirkman Exec. Producer and comic book creator of Walking Dead, gave the back story. Otis was the "walker wrangler". Herschel and the young man helping him took that over when Otis died. Since Otis got Sophia, no one else knew it and no one spoke to him about Sophia before he left with Shane.

I figured out that parrt..

Hershel stated that Otis was the one who filled the barn.
After she went missing and was zombified, Otis captured her, and stuck her in there.
I don't know how much time passed between her going missing, and the cop's kid getting shot... but after the kid was shot, is when Otis led them to the house. Other cop and Otis went out almost right away to look for med supplies, as I recall. It was dusk when the reached the hospital. I don't recall them saying anything about a missing girl during the commotion over the kid geting shot, and it's possible that Otis never mentioned her to anyone else. Since he was killed within hours of them meeting, nobody knew.

OK, i just on board with this show and watched the first season on net flix.

Love it. Ive got to figure out if season 2 is on net flix.
