G'day!

You'd think by now they would be more careful about being snuck up on and captured!
The best part about last night's episode was the Johnny Cash song in the beginning!

Used to be every other episode was about Carl doing something stupid. Now it's the adults...
"Let's all go out separately to chase a woman who left willingly, just before Negan arrives". Sure, sounds right! Also Darryl can track like a native american but cannot figure out he's being setup like this ??? Hmm... |

Just a reminder....the 90 minute season finale begins in 20 minutes.....
Everyone is talking about the appearance of Negan and Lucille (his barbed wire covered baseball bat). I think there's also been talk of one of the main characters getting wiped out. I haven't been following the chatter all that closely......we'll see what happens. The good news is next week "Fear the Walking Dead" starts back up again....the previews look awesome too!

Who got it....care to guess?
My (wild) guess is Abraham. I'm sure it will get leaked out this summer.

Gah...long-winded villains! Bring back the RPGs to end the diatribe mid-sentence!

I've been waiting and dreading for that bat to appear since before the start of the season last year. No, I haven't read the books.

I haven't read the books either but read somewhere recently that in the books Glenn gets to meet Lucille. However, the books version of what happens and what actually happens on the show quite often are not the same supposedly so who knows? Guess we will find out in 6 months or so.
There will probably be lots of "leaks" over the next few months but who to believe.?? And what is with the guys in "armor" riding the horses ?? Will they be the ones to eventually come to the rescue, assuming someone can come to the rescue ?

That armor was hilarious. I expected to see one pedal up on a little BMX bike. Nerds.

I've been losing interest as the seasons have droned on. I have watched this season (with little to no interest) and something occurred to me last night, what happened to Jesus?

Out of curiosity, what did it? The suspension of disbelief is pretty high in a zombie show to begin with, not to mention the specific mode of transmission (bite only? not getting soaked in infected gore?)
Was it that Negan has too many men? Was it that they knew which roads to block? Was it the fact they got the trap so well sprung in the forest? (that was a liitle odd) Was it that they did not kill everyone immediately? (odd). The acting ? Or the cliffhanger ? Honestly could be any and all for me, but it's a zombie show with good production values, still a lot more enjoyable to watch than a republican primary debate, so... |

So I started watching TWD about a month and a half ago or so, and have watched all 6 seasons at a rate of about one per week.
This last season really let me down... so much seemed like it just went backwards.. A few good bits but man that last episode was just stupid as hell. I read the comics surrounding the last few episodes just to get a different taste and wow, if they would have went with the ending in the comic shown (and with the character in the comic getting it) at the end of the season finale's episode, instead of that dumb cliffhanger... it would have been a triumph for the show. But instead I felt pretty much betrayed... like I put all this time into this season and they just end the season without anything. I'm only continuing to watch this series so I see how it all ends. Which I hope is sooner rather than dragging on for another 3-4 seasons. I'm really hoping they get wild with it at the end... My dream ending is a Tommy Westphall ending with Rick back in the hospital flatlining from his gunshot wound in the first episode. No zombies. No apocalypse. Just 8 seasons of morphine-induced mind*%#%. AMC Writers you can have that one for free just put my name in the credits, thank you.

So many times this season they have been ambushed and outsmarted... completely out of character compared to the first 5 seasons. JV team.

Well, it still beats "the floating Dead". That other show is soooo slow and so cliché in comparison, not sure I can make it to episode 2.

I thought this season was good. My immediate reaction to the season finale was the same as yours, but after listening to what the show runners had to say on the after show, it made sense what they were trying to do.
