Best episode in a long time, I like that they are back on the run. The prison storyline was getting stale. I really expected Carol to show up and save the day during their big finale firefight, I guess they are saving that for the next season. Hurry up February!

Well, the Governor finally got what he deserved...glad to see that Michone was the one to put him down too. I wondered why Carl and Daryl wouldn't have had a bead on the Governor all the while he was in sight and drop him as soon as he raised that sword over Herschel. Fifty yards should've been a fairly easy shot for a rifle and the s#!t storm was about to start anyway. Not enough drama in that scenario, I guess. Also, wasn't Rick reloading when he took cover behind that overturned bus? Why didn't he just put a round thru the Governor's head when he walked by instead of jumping him? Apparently not enough drama there either.
What was the deal with the rat that Tyrese found? Was that at the same spot where his GF was killed? It's looking to me now like Lizzie may have been involved in that, and maybe was the one feeding rats to the walkers at the fence too. That kid is gonna be trouble!
I'm glad the prison is over & done with too. I hope they'll be dealing with the walker mega-herd, the radio transmission and Carol's whereabouts in the upcoming episodes.
On another note, that was the most downbeat Talking Dead that I can ever remember, with everyone all weepy over Herschel's demise. I'd hoped that they would've discussed the rat and Lizzie a bit, but I guess that the Governor's and Herschel's deaths eclipsed everything else this week.
Gonna be a long wait 'till February...

Ok I'm back in

Is Lizzie the older of newer little girls? I have my suspicions about her as well - or it could be Carl. That boy is going to end up more twisted than the Gov.

Ooooh, I'd forgotten about the radio transmission. That could be foreshadowing to the next season.

I ponder where the show will ultimately go. In my mind it's really two ways: either everybody dies or they figure out a cure/zombie killing secret weapon. As dark as the show is, I don't know if I foresee a cure. I also STILL want more background on what happened. How did the outbreak start, what was done to fight it, and is there still some semblance of a government working on a cure? The show has been very local, I'd like to see more stuff like the Atlanta CDC episode.

Yes, she's the older one...seems like she's a bit warped. I haven't completely given up on the idea that Carl had something to do with the body burning, but it's looking more like Lizzie was involved in some way. No way that Carl was feeding rats to the walkers though...that's gotta be Lizzie, or ??

Loren Cohan (Maggie) might've given something away during Talking Dead on the subject of what's ultimately going to happen. The host was speculating for a moment on how it all ends up and he said "...or they all wind up dead." The camera happened to be on Cohan at that point and she quietly nodded "yes" as he said that.

Speaking of Maggie.....is it me or did she seem a little spaced out last night on The Talking Dead?

What a beautiful woman though....

I missed that, I don't watch The Talking Dead. Considering how the show has gone thus far I wouldn't be surprised if that's how it all ends.

Both she and Scott Wilson (Herschel) seemed to be genuinely upset by Hershel's demise. Every other actor they've had on Talking Dead who's character was killed off seemed downcast too. There must be some special mojo between cast members on that set.
Yeah, I agree...Lauren Cohan looked stunning! Especially after always seeing her all grubby looking in character as Maggie.

Another one that's glad the prison era is over. What hooked me on the show was the relentless running and pursuit of the walkers. The prison era was probably needed for character development, which I understand, but hopefully we'll get more of that unending suspense that someone's demise is right behind the next tree.

And yeah, woah, that was indeed an awesome episode!

Has anyone else seen the preview commercial for the next season? My wife and I disagree on who Carl is shaking and yelling "wake up" at. She says it's Rick, I tell her that's what they want you to think. She also says that if they kill off Rick, she's done watching.

Yes, I've seen that preview and I also thought that Carl was trying to wake Rick. I froze the scene with the DVR and it sure looked like him lying there. Four more weeks and we'll find out for sure...

I've seen that commercial, and I'm more intrigued by what happens with Darryl and the blonde chick. Why do they seem to just fall down and stop?

Yes, that was a great scene. She was definitely troubled leading up to it.

I thought Rick was a goner when Carl couldn't wake him up at first.

Good to see Michone, Carl and Rick hook up at the end.

This is probably for someone who has followed the story in the books; why does merely removing a walker's arms and jawbone change their demeanor so radically?

It can't be because they know they can't attack and grab and eat. Their brains are more gone than that.

Thought it was a bit stupid for Michonne to knock on that door and then stand on the other side of it, not knowing whether Rick and Carl were on edge. Coulda been shot if she had misjudged.
