No joke. She looked through the window and saw them so why didn't she just say something and wave her arms assuming they would be able to see her also ??

More suspenseful the way they did it I suppose.

Interesting episode, definitely setting the stage for the rest of the season. I assume they'll be following the separated groups individually for a while, you would assume that they eventually meet up.

It was explained at one point that if the walkers aren't feeding, they gradually become weaker and more docile. A walker without arms to grab, or a mouth to bite, is much less of a threat. And as Michonne has figured out, they can then be used by the living to become 'invisible' to other walkers.

Agree that Michonne risked getting shot by not calling out to Rick & Carl. I just assumed that her mental state at that point got in the way of clear thinking.
I thought it was interesting that it took seeing the look-alike walker in her herd to help Michonne snap out of her malaise and give her purpose again. Same thing happened to Rick when he encountered Morgan for the 2nd time. I think, at that moment, they both realized how very much different their own fates could've been.

It was said that in the coming episodes, the 'rats-at-the-fence' and the radio transmission will be explained.

Was that discussed on The Talking Dead? I'm still very curious about both of those. Seems like some of this season will focus on the survival of the separated groups, but I assume they will eventually meet up. At that point, I'm curious what the focus will be. Seems to me that they'd want to seek out some form of safe haven or a cure by looking for a government or military installation.

I thought last night's episode was paced way too slow. I understand that they were trying to further the character development of Carl and Michonne but it was way too slow. BSG used to do this and promise that they would make up for it in the next few episodes.

Hopefully Daryl being stuck with Beth is not an omen. Every time she gets close to a man they die.

I seem to be in the minority that generally likes Carl, but damn was he hard to like last night. I'm just glad he gave up his "shoot first" mentality when Rick woke up.

Finally watched it on DVR last night. You knew Carol would be back eventually, I'm curious to see if the town they are walking towards is the same as the camp that the truck crew is from. In the last episode from last year, wasn't Glen in the bus? If so, how did he end waking up at the prison?

Lots of stuff going on, lots of loose ends that should get tied up in the next few weeks.

If you guys are enjoying TWD, then you need to check out the book series by D.J. Molles The Remaining. Available only as an online download. A friend turned me on to the series and I cannot put it down. The intensity of the prose makes The Walking Dead look watered down.

Highly recommended.

I didn't read the comic books but know a little about this - the new guy is Abraham and is supposed to be a good guy so relax everyone. The guy holding the walkie talkie (the doctor) is a little shady I understand.

I think getting some new blood in the series is fantastic and sorely needed.

Can't wait for more episodes!

I wondered about that too, Matt. I'm guessing he hopped off at the last second to go make sure Maggie was okay.

One other thing from the last episode, did anyone else think that the little blond girl (Lizzie?) was going to strangle the baby? Her character seems a bit "off", I suspect there's more to come involving her.

I think when Glenn was talking to Tara he explained he had gotten off the bus at the last minute to search for Maggie, which explains how he ended up still at the prison.
