Well said Aragorn....the show is not just about killing walkers!
Rick should have never gone back into that house....when he was taking those deep breaths I thought he had gathered himself back together. But nooo....he should know better - he's acting like a doofus again. Thank goodness Michonne knocked him out. Deanna is exercising a lot more restraint than I would be - I have to hand it to her. Next week should be interesting - I hope we find out more about who is cutting up bodies in the woods.

This season seems to have taken too many shortcuts in story development... I didn't see Gabriel "turning" like that so quick. Didn't see Jessie's husband be developed as an abuser (also too fast). Rick seems to be over-reacting to that situation in the show, and going nuts again (like when he was seeing Lorie's ghost). A few shots of a bruised Jessie or some more character development might have helped...
Guessing Deanna is going to cast him away but right when that's about to happen, the kind folks tying people to trees and carving Ws in walker's heads will show up to take the town. At that point They'll need Ricky boy... just guessing, haven't read the comics since the prison. I'm more worried about Glenn. The rat bastard Nicholas now has a gun and probably will try to kill Glenn. Or accidentally kill Maggie, or something stupid like that... They did say the season finale would see the loss of a beloved character, so.... |

I"m wondering should I watch it tonight or wait til the finale and watch both episodes?
Also, this isn't the last season is it?

It's not gonna change your life radically one way or another... Not the last season, no... in fact there's a side show beginning next year - set to be in LA. Same producers, different coast, California zombies.

Close up view of two of the walkers in Sunday's episode showed a "W" carved on their foreheads. The one that Daryl and Aaron found in the woods wasn't dead for that long and had a "W" carved on her forehead already. Daryl seems to be a good tracker and didn't hear her scream or see any of her attackers. Don't understand why they are making some of the walkers torso only.
Michonne saved Rick. An earlier scene showed Nicholas having a gun. I think Carol is packing also. Could have been a shootout at the OK Corral with Rick waving his piece around.

I had heard about the spin off, sounds interesting! Thats why I was curious if this was the last season for the original series, probably makes too much money to kill it right now anyways.

Great finale and sets up many possibilities for next season.
What was really intriguing was the Wolves thumbing through the photographs of Rick, Carl, etc.... Wonder where they got those ?? An epic battle is set for the future when the Wolves let loose their army of zombies.

The best episode yet, I thought -- wow.
Yes, it feels like they are setting up for a big good-vs-evil battle, ala Stephen King's 'The Stand'. And the previews for the prequel look intriguing also.

I thought the episode was really tied up all the loose ends very neatly for us as the season ends. Rick and group now accepted at Alexandria. Morgan reunited. That cowardly prick Nicolas beat down and collared by Glenn. The preacher finally coming to grips with his horrific sin and (seemingly) will now be able to maintain some degree of existence, hopefully not endangering the group anymore. Pete out of the picture - at the request of Deanna. And Michonne donning her samurai sword again - thank goodness! Even Eugene and Abraham were able to do some healing about their dust up. The only left now to deal with are the wolves! Yes....setting up some great episodes & possibilities for next week.

Morgan is back and he is ready to rejoin the apocalypse.
![]() The way he used his walking stick on both the wolves and the walkers tells me he has been trained by someone (backstory somewhere in there.) Now it looks like Rick is the one who needs help and not Morgan. Couldn't tell at the end if Rick shot Pete (porchdic*) or Reg. Talking dead cleared that up. And now an ode to Pete and his infamous moniker...

How on earth did Glen survive that ? Did he, in fact ? He might have gotten bitten and we don't know yet !
And someone needs to help my suspension of disbelief on bites turning you into a zombie but an entire cranium full of blood falling into Rick's mouth not doing it.... but anyway... Yeah, Morgan is back ! |

As for how Rick doesn't die from the gore? The bites either kill from exanguination, or a fever sets in and kills them. Let's attribute that to sepsis and/or some nasty funk that lives in the walkers mouths. (I am not a doctor, nor did I sleep in a Holiday Inn last night. I did, however, sleep NEXT to one. The hotel, not the doctor)

I agree. What made this show awesome for me was the relentlessness of the first season - you were always on edge, and you knew no character was safe. They've lost all that now, and the show has suffered for it. I was really hoping Glen was going to get bitten in that struggle, not because I dislike the character, but because it would shake things up some. Pete getting offed was predictable. One way or the other, his days were numbered.

Yeah lately (last 2 seasons) humans have been the primary foe...
It's not like season 1 where you feared the walkers (and they were fresh), now they are a nuisance to be stabbed or squeezed to death (they're rotting). Even when Glen was buried in them he got out OK (we think). Rick can apparently explode a walker's head into his mouth and face and be fine. They're less scary, but then again that gave us time for character development. I hear that's about to change in season 6 where the emphasis returns on making zombies scarier... And we start from scratch this summer on the LA companion series. |
