I'm starting to think that the people in Alexandria are mostly good and really are that naive about what's happening outside the walls. The next threat will be from a rogue group of outsiders. As Rick tried to tell Deanna..."There are people out there who will try to take whatever you have".

I think they are stronger than they let on but there are external threats that they have either appeased for now or have managed to fend off.
But they know they need battle tested help and probably soon which is why they invited Ricks group in. They know who the Wolves are and are holding back on that info. Kinda tough to pitch to Rick "hey join us so you can fight off these bad guys for us"

Enid is a big question mark - is there a connection between her and the wolves - that remains to be seen.
And I hope it's Carl who ferrets out the info on her! 3 episodes left - a lot can happen!

From what I remember, Enid doesn't interact with the other kids. She acts like a mole. She leaves shortly after the Ricktator and his crew arrived and headed for the woods. She probably is reporting back to an outside group. Rick's missing gun is also a clue that someone else is around. If the writing on the wall (wolves not far) back in Richmond is from the same group, that is a pretty big area to cover from Richmond to Alexandria (roughly 100 miles.)

The 'Wolves' may be the key to re-introducing Morgan back into the story. He may be following the signs that they've leaving (carvings on the trees, graffiti with the 'X') and picking over stuff that they've left behind after their pillaging. Were those trinkets he laid out at Gabriel's church things he's picked up from them? Could be that Morgan will be instrumental in saving Rick & co. from Alexandria, similar to the way Carol saved their butts at Terminus.

I don't read the comics and I'm just speculating here, but there are other happenings in this show that don't really add up either. Anything's possible...it's the zombie apocalypse!

Absolutely, and with only 2 more episodes this season there is going to be a lot going on. Lots of open ends at this point and many directions it can go.
The reverend Gabriel kicking the ant bed was was not really surprising, he is on a serious guilt trip.

Hi
|
I think I"m done with WD. Its turned into a soap opera, the walkers are more of a side issue. Now its about people screwing over other people, I can catch that on the 5 o'clock news.

They know what the walkers are going to try to do, it's the "people" they really have to fear as their motives are unknown at best... After the governor, Terminus, etc, putting your trust in other humans is a good way to come to a bad end.

Didn't really want to quote anyone above, but the walkers are a main story point that is not always in the forefront of each episode. The way the survivors deal with living in this universe is dictated by the walkers. That is where the drama comes from. How each character survives and interacts with other survivors is the other main story point. The walkers have a set pattern of how they exist and interact in this universe. The survivors (Rick's crew) have, for the most part, figured out how to deal with walkers to survive. Now the walkers influence the survivors actions, but for the most part have become a secondary issue for survival.
The drama has always been provided by how the survivors deal with each other. Shane and Rick in season one. Herschel and the Farm in season two. The Governor, Woodbury and the Jail. Terminus. All of these places take the survivors to different places where people have treated each other differently. Herschel wanted a utopia where there were no guns and walkers were herded to eventually be "cured." The Governor wanted control. The termites at Terminus wanted a "Donner Party" type atmosphere. Each place has delved into ways that people would deal with this reality. Alexandria is the latest place Rick's crew have ventured. This is a set of stories about how this reality changes people.
