i thought the studebaker sliding roof was cool, but a lot of ebay ads warn of leaking roofs...

the 2004 GMC Envoy copied the idea (at 40 seconds into the video):

My old '92....sold to a buddy for $500...had 237K miles and rear hydraulic suspension was shot. He had a buncha 3 and 5 parts cars. He converted rear suspension to non-hydraulic, changed wheels, removed roof cargo rails and transplanted an M3 engine and 5 sp in it...nice parts getter sleeper now.

My wagon which I had to give up! Greatest little thing around - Magna-flow exhaust with MTM chip stage 2 with larger injectors and down pipe! Sweet Quick and Good Lookin! (The mods were done after this trip to Vermont and New Hampshire)
