Garage
I want either an Aston Martin Vantage Convertible or Ferrari 360 Spyder. Of course, I would need a double lift in the garage first so I have parking for everything.

It appears the next one is a 2008 Ford Edge. It's that brilliant copper color. I really dig that color. Looks like I'll get it the end of the year, first week or so in January.

I just got my wife a new winter beater, a '96 VW golf 1.8 gas.
I had 3 golfs (2 given to me free), took all the best parts (new springs and struts) off and made one, plus I had to put new front rotors, wipers, replace/paint the rear hatch and get an alignment.

I think I have $600 into it, not counting my labour of course.

Seeing as she puts on 50K km/year I'm so happy she loves Golfs in the winter.
She will be driving a bug during the summer.
The "good" car is now mine.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

I would have liked my jag more if it wasn't an XJR-6. I always felt like I was walking on eggshells with that car. It was in fantastic shape, but I always worried something would go wrong on it. funny, i just had a dream last night that i was driving it around. reminded me of when i "raced" a mustang GT on 465 around indianapolis late at night. at 155 when i hit the limiter, i had about 10 car lengths on him. definitely was a fun car....

anyway, i plan on running the f-250 to death. it's got years left in it. if i had to replace it, i'd look for a jeep 4x4. i would go to great lengths to avoid buying new.

My next car will be a Pinewood derby car. Trying to figure out what I should make it look like. 911 maybe? or should I do a 914?

I made a 914 derby car as a kid. I wanted to do a 911, but the 914 was a far easier shape to cut out on a band saw.

No pics- I just have zero photos of my youth. But I bet my father still has that car in a box somewhere in a storage shed. It was yellow with a blue stripe.

Where you at again?

Love to replace my Land Cruiser with an 06-08 LC that's in really nice shape, I hate the way the new ones look. Why they design that thing like that, God only knows. Or, a current 4wd Tahoe. Love the way they look. Square and simple. I have had enough 2 seaters or sports car for a long time. A sedan would be nice for a change. I don't what's out there? A Caddy seem so nice and fast.

After my VW Golf dies I'm considering making my 911 my daily.
Just need to swap out the headers for heat exchangers. I could add Air Con but probably won't.

With a bit of luck the old girl should last until gasoline becomes too expensive
