A 180+ hp, 1900 or so lb 1969 Fiat AC Sport Coupe.

Lowered, lightened, +1 Panasports, bigger sways and shocks, Abarth 16v head, punched out, stroked, different cams, polished and ported, higher compression, dual Weber down drafts, higher compression double valve springs, electronic ignition, free flow header and exhaust.

Once sorted and tuned it would pull 8,000 rpm through 4 gears. Never fully ran it out but touched 150 or so at 7,100 in 5th and it was still pulling. Not a lot of bottom end, but once on cam at 4500 rpm it would give a lot of cars a run for their money.

For a 1500 or so cc car, it could suck some gas if you had your foot in it, but gas was cheap back then.

I forgot to mention, I had it repainted to Porsche Ice Green Metallic.

Man, I miss that car.

It would be a tossup between my '73 Opel GT...

...and the '74 Manta that came right after it.

I autocrossed them both and drove both of them pretty hard otherwise. Took both of them on some trips to the NC mountains and enjoyed them immensely in the twisty bits. The Manta was a bit more tossable and confidence inspiring.

1963 Corvair - did 360 degree donuts trying to flip it over just like it stated in Ralph Nader's book "Unsafe at Any Speed".

2005 Z06 Corvette - amazing coming out of the hole.

1965 Pontiace 389 Catalina 3sp on the floor. Beat the crap out of that car. Amazing top end.

My 83 944 - Great road car!
